As portuguese, quite surprised by the appointment of Fábio Melo as AVAR. Not a single Champions League game and now a final...

Good no foul decision in APP before the Tot goal
ReplyDeleteOnly 1 minute of added time with a cooling break? A bit strange
ReplyDeleteExtremely close onside correctly given on-field for the Spurs goal.
ReplyDeleteonly saw a few minutes now but I liked the two YC for unsporting behaviour (DtR and dissent). around minute 55.
ReplyDeleteIn the second half, João Pinheiro faced some tests during the game and responded very well. Physically, he looked sharp and ready to take advantage of this opportunity to be considered for World Cup selection.
ReplyDeleteIn general, a very good performance from the Portuguese: aware, alert, usual cool head, punishing unsporting behaviours accordingly and with great feeling, some excellent preventative actions. Two penalty area incidents correctly waived away (55', 89'), the no-foul call in APP prior to the opening goal stays (very) controversial to me although players easily accepted the call (39').
ReplyDeleteAmazing performance for joao pinheiro , fore sure he receives another finals
ReplyDeleteI felt pinheiro had a technically good match however would have liked to see more personality
ReplyDeleteI agree, not impressed like other people. Still a normal performance, but didn't really convince me how he could manage it if players agitated. Looked rather passive in some cases, but in the end nothing special. Expected level performance.
