I'm happy, I think :D :D
ReplyDeleteHum I think I know which game you are going to Watch :D
DeleteDefinitely Salzburg v Lazio :D :D
DeleteSoham, oh then you would count for Skomina's potential mistakes to add them to your list just in case you may need it in any future disagreements with the members of this blog 😃😃😃. We all know too well that you worship Mr.K and there's no doubt which match you're going to watch 😉😃😃. At least each of us will get its own satisfaction 😃😉..
DeleteI like Skomina too, trust me and of course I don't want him to make mistakes... Chefren and Ray can confirm too that Skomina has been my Twitter dp since ages so ofcourse I respect him... I've nothing personal against any referee but that said I've my favourites and inspirations!! The Salzburg v Lazio reply was obviously a tongue-in-cheek reply for a bit of fun, of course my view will be on Marseille v Leipzig for sure and yes I'm satisfied!! :D :D
DeleteClearly, Skomina has been appointed on Friday for this game after first leg score. The first half in first leg had been very difficult for Hategan, but now there shouldn't be big issues in second leg, due to final score.
ReplyDeleteI guess Mazic in Moscow in a even more decided tie...
Zwayer in Moscow... Would've been an absolute waste to appoint Mazic to that!!
DeleteMy prediction was solid. I thought that Skomina can't handle Italian club, so I swapped him with Kuipers :)
DeleteSkomina handled only Italian teams in this CL season :)
DeleteI thought it should be avoided in QF
DeleteSkomina is one referee loving Italy :D
DeleteSoham, no Skomina speaks Italian and also understands Spanish quite well (there are a lot of similarities between both languages), therefore he's appointed to matches with Italian/Spanish teams more. BTW he also lives few miles from the Italian border. I also think that these teams suit his temperament the most 😉😃.
DeleteYeah that's why I joked that he loves Italy... If you note the fashion of the statement, you'll note that it is the official joking style of the blog :D :D
DeletePersonally I enjoy Skomina the most while he referees English teams... I always felt watching Skomina that he could've been a wonderful referee in the Premier League too!!
Of course I take it as a joke and that's why I love this blog, which is not just pure analytics of referees' performances but some fun (in polite manner), too 😉😃
DeleteI invite you to make some jokes in the official joking style of this blog... It's really fun :D :D

Herbert Fandel...
DeleteLast test before EL final?
DeleteOur excellence is a candidate for final @Chefren
DeleteWhy not CL final? :)
DeleteOur excellence may be the first referee to get a straight CL final without any previous CL KO game! 😎
DeleteAnd to left Skomina without any final? I don't think so.
DeleteIf that happened, then who for EL final? Lahoz, Collum...?
Skomina has some 4 years left ahead of him so no problem... He can get the final in Madrid next year too... I think Collum with Trentalange observing him might be a candidate for something!!
DeleteMateu Lahoz is also observed by a committee member tonight (Bo Karlsson), so if that means something...
DeleteAtletico Madrid will spoil his chances for sure :)
DeletePossibly, but the question should be: if all are available, who will be in the middle?
DeleteI expect Atlético to qualify for the final, but in football, anything can happen.
Even if all are available Mazic and Rocchi are ahead for me, I'll say!!
DeleteLahoz and his team spoiled their own chances in Manchester. Atletico had nothing to do with it. They did themselves in. To the shelf you go along with Marciniak's crew.
DeleteNo committee member for Skomina. This should mean something.
ReplyDeleteDoes it exclude him from candidates for UCL final?
DeleteNobs is still quite an important observer, eg he marked Çakir when he got Fulham-Hamburg Semifinal as a First Category. So UEFA do take his opinion with high value.
DeleteMaybe someone with a better knowledge could correct me but is he same 'format' of observer as say Bertrand Layec?
Zwayer got two low profile games. A second leg in CL of a game ended 5-0. A second leg in EL of another game ended 4-1.
ReplyDeleteHe was the only referee so unlucky.
Similar to Oliver, but Oliver games for sure have a different meaning, especially the sonorous CL quarterfinal.
In any case, the German will make only experience there, without any real challenging test.
Zwayer isn't a candidate for Euro 2020 I think as Brych will still be around that time... Makkelie and Oliver's process are accelerated to get them ready for Euro as they are the main candidates for their respective countries whereas Zwayer is not!!
DeleteYou are right, Brych will be still there for Euro 2020.
DeleteI'm missing the AARs from Felix Zwayer... can anybody help please ?
ReplyDeleteSiebert and Stagemann
DeleteThank you!
DeleteIf we compare Skomina and Mazic, we see that the latter has only two appointments so far, while Skomina three. So this should mean, at least in normal conditions, that a further appointment should be more likely for the Serbian, than Skomina. I think that, in any case, Mazic will officiate at least a CL semifinal.
ReplyDeleteAnalysis on Kuipers and Zwayer in relation to further appointments??
DeleteKuipers: maybe chanches for a CL semifinal, but I'm not sure. His absence was really long.
DeleteZwayer: more than unlucky. Weird management by committee.
Kuipers and Mazic appointments are comparable... Mazic had that only one Milan v Ludogorets game extra early on... Kuipers is a candidate for at least an EL SF in case of a good performance on Thursday!!
DeleteNot that comparable, Kuipers couldn't be appointed before a certain time, Mazic was always available but he was assigne to only one minor game in EL. There should be a specific reason for Mazic.
DeleteYeah but now he is back from injury and is whistling a fairly important EL match plus selected for World Cup so no reason to keep him out from the SFs!!
DeleteWe shouldn’t forget that Skomina wasn’t planning for Quarterfinal. He was appointed only on Friday, six days before match!
ReplyDeleteThat's our assumption... We can't be sure of that!!
Delete@Sviat's theory is logical, if you say the events of Lazio - Salzburg demanded an experienced referee for the return. @Chefren can speak better than me, but I guess Skomina is respected referee by Italian media, and SS Lazio, so he made a good choice.
DeleteAnother candidate for EL is Rocchi in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteCandidates for EL final:
1) Mazic (in any case)
2) Mateu Lahoz (without Atletico)
3) Rocchi (without Lazio)
Marciniak
DeleteWell, in my opinion Marciniak not a candidate for any final.
DeleteLogically that should be... But as we know expect the unexpected... It might be possible that PLC reads our discussion while having his morning tea :D Whenever we are more than sure about something, he throws in a surprise for all of us... Remember Eriksson/Clattenburg saga in 2016?? :)
DeleteMarciniak should get an EL SF, but the final seems very unlikely to me.
DeleteTurpin, Collum and maybe even Makkelie should have some chances as well.
Some info coming from Ray :
Delete"By the way, Szymon Marciniak is actually injured. Allegedly, it's a mechanical trauma. He'll be out from the following weekend's matchday. He says that most likely there is no risk for his WC participation, but 'we will see', he adds. The fitness tests in Coverciano are coming..."
After match in Italy and bad performance from Mateu Lahoz, we questioned his participance in Russia (World cup). Then he checked his visa for Russia...
DeleteSo, I wouldn't exclude Marciniak from appointments in EL this season. One bad match should not mean end of season in european competitions.
Okay, now we know that Polish is injured but I'm sure without that circumstance he would be appointed in EL.
Marciniak got injured only recently, less than a week before... His season was certainly over anyway in Europe as the performance in TOT v JUV was unacceptable... Not sure if Mateu's performance in Italy v Sweden was assessed as thaaaat bad!!
DeleteGil manzano confirmed for copa del rey final in Spain. 4th official is Carlos del cerro Grande
ReplyDeleteThere is another important aspect we should consider.
ReplyDeleteAt moment, I think that only Skomina and Mazic are referees who can ensure a final appointment without looking at the nationality of the teams involved. Of course, said with all the respect for Serbia and Slovenia, we will never see club from these countries in a final. So, if committee appoint both for this season (maybe Mazic in EL and Skomina in CL), what for the future?
At moment you have: Mateu Lahoz who can't handle Spansh teams, Rocchi who can't handle Italian teams, Collum as Scottish who is avoided for British teams, Turpin who can't handle French teams and so on. So, to be honest, apart maybe from Marciniak, who still needs time now, there aren't so many "sure" options for the future. Of course, everything is possible and in a few time a referee can develop but... to be honest, I think that the pool of candidates for a final is now very small.
In this context, Královec is a missing name there, with his big experience as Elite referee, and being from a "neutral" country, he could have easily aspired to a final. Am I wrong?
Therefore, that Oliver's pushing is understandable. They need a strong referee from England NOW. I'm sure Marciniak will get a final in the future. We shouldn't forget that before the Tottenham - Juventus game, he was one of our favourite referee and many of readers considered him as one of the best, if not the best at the moment. One poor performance shouldn't disqualify him and his team.
DeleteBy the way, Szymon Marciniak is actually injured. Allegedly, it's a mechanical trauma. He'll be out from the following weekend's matchday. He says that most likely there is no risk for his WC participation, but 'we will see', he adds. The fitness tests in Coverciano are coming...
I just quoted Ray's words above from Twitter :D That said Marciniak is a very good referee and comes with a lot of natural talent... He will be back stronger next season and I'm sure as he will continue his development, he will end up whistling many important finals in his career and there's not an iota of doubt in that... 2020 might be the year for him, let's wait... Czech Kralovec is returning to some good officiating form, this season was very good and if he continues to impress there's no reason why can't be a candidate for the Final!!
DeleteJust to add, I have no problem with selecting same twice name for the UCL/EL final.
DeleteI think this can increase the pool of candidates for a final...
Agreed! I think its stupid that you shouldn't be considered for the final just because you'v done it before. If you're the best referee you should get the final which is why in my opinion Felix Brych should be doing the final again. I don't think anyone would argue that Brych is the most in-form referee at the moment.

In my opinion, very good appointment (second in a row) for Jaime Latre: this coming weekend a very significant match for UEL qualification. Next week, a match which could mean the official relegation of Malaga and almost the category-keeping by Levante.
All other appointments are also good because in all matches there are things in play. Maybe the only one which is not that significant is Real Sociedad - Atlético de Madrid (Alberola Rojas), because it is very difficult for Real Sociedad to qualify for UEL (at least 9 points) and it is very difficult for Atlético de Madrid to win the title (11 points). Also maybe Valencia-Getafe (de Burgos Bengoetxea), as Valencia is almost qualified to UCL (16 points to the next team) and Getafe is at least 7 points away from UEL, so although their have chances, it is quite difficult.
Agree with you George, but colchoneros have a high media exposure .
DeleteThis will be hard weekend for Mazic, 2 days after EL game he will probably get deciding title game and our derby Crvena Zvezda - Partizan. 6 points between these 2 teams, if Partizan wins they'll have good chance to do the same as last season and get title again..

An outstanding piece by Mark Clattenburg which we all should read :
"Outstanding Michael Oliver is being put under too much pressure
Let’s be clear about one thing first: Michael Oliver got the two important decisions at the end of last night’s game absolutely spot on.
Medhi Benatia’s challenge on Lucas Vázquez was a penalty. Michael will have seen from his view what was a small push by Benatia but he will also have had help from the extra assistant referee positioned behind the goal. From his angle, the assistant referee would have seen the foot wrapping around Vázquez’s body. Michael did not send the defender off, which suggests that he thought he had made a genuine attempt to get the ball. It’s a clumsy foul, but it’s still a foul.
The decision to send Buffon off is also correct. Uefa are very clear on the subject of “mobbing” officials. There was clear dissent from Buffon and what probably made Michael’s mind up to send him off was that Buffon confronted him twice.
Once is more understandable, given the emotions of what had just happened, and referees do understand why players react to decisions that are going to decide the outcome of big matches. But he went at Michael a second time, and it was more confrontational.
What he said is almost less important than the manner in which he said it. Generally when you referee European matches the players will be screaming at you in their own languages rather than in English, because they are not trying to explain to you why they think the decision is wrong, they are just angry. I began to recognise some of the most common abusive phrases in various languages."
(2/2)
Delete"When Michael sees an incident like that one, he will only have been thinking about that decision. The idea, as some at Juventus seem to be claiming, that he should have taken into account similar decisions made by other referees in previous matches, is ridiculous. People say referees want to put themselves in the spotlight but that is the last thing he will have been thinking about. What was he supposed to do? If he had not given the penalty, and got the decision wrong, can you imagine the reaction at Real?
People have to think about the demands that have been placed on Michael this week. He began with the Merseyside derby, then he had a Champions League quarter-final, and he will do West Ham United against Stoke City in the Premier League on Monday, another game that will be live on television.
Every decision he makes will be subject to scrutiny. The mental side of refereeing has become the hardest part, and that is why more and more referees are leaving the Premier League younger. The refereeing itself is fine, as is the physical side, but dealing with the pressure is the challenge.
Howard Webb left the Premier League early, I did the same, Graham Poll was another and Phil Dowd has stepped down recently. When a senior referee leaves early, that is 20 big games a season that the younger guys, who are still learning, have to take on.
Michael is the best referee in the Premier League and at 33 he still has five years before he even reaches his peak, which is usually between 38 and 41. He is young and fit, and he reads the game well.
The reaction to Wednesday will be a test for him, even though he can watch the game back and see he did well. There has been a huge angry reaction in Italy, but it really has nothing to do with his performance. He won’t be able to ignore that reaction, but it’s good that he does not have social media accounts.
There is no reason why Michael will not referee finals in the next few years. But there is a problem that the pressures of refereeing are making careers at the top level shorter. This applies to other countries in Europe as well.
People have said that the absence of an English referee from the World Cup finals this summer is a sign of declining standards but they are wrong. That was solely down to my decision to move to Saudi Arabia, when I had been the English referee on the list. It was too late for a replacement, and only ten referees can make the final cut anyway, so the standard is very high, and some very experienced international officials, such as Jonas Eriksson from Sweden, will not be going. Michael shows the standard in England is still high."
So another of our not-so-long-ago Elite referee would've clearly whistled a penalty in this case particular with the aid of an AAR... 2014 WC semi-final referee Marco Rodriguez also believes that it's a correct penalty... Now it's upto the readers to decide whom to trust - Mark Clattenburg and Marco Rodriguez OR Petchovski and Sheriff Castrilli ;)
DeleteExcellent piece by Clattenburg. I can recommend his articles in the English newspaper, one of the (too) few instances of a top level referee joining the media and providing genuine insight to the readers!
DeleteClattenburg says : "Michael did not send the defender off, which suggests that he thought he had made a genuine attempt to get the ball" – Probably this explains why Benatia was sent off and so that's not a crucial mistake? 🤔
DeleteBenatia was already cautioned, so it was certainly an obvious chance to score and at least a YC.
DeleteMissing second cautions is a crucial mistake, but in the circumstances it would actually make no (common) sense to make Juventus play with nine men, after all what happened which was enough IMO.
So Oliver's mark will be 7,9(?), but that's almost superfluous to be honest.
7.9 (8.5) I think
DeleteTo my mind 7,9(6/7) :-)
DeleteYou mean 8.6 or 8.7 within bracket?
DeleteI can report same positive things from Serbian crew in Lisbon. As always, excellent positioning and fitness. Also great rapport with troublemakers among players (Diego Costa) and coaches (Diego Simeone). Great spot that there was a foul of attacking player at first in Sporting CP penalty area (16'). The only YC issued for a very reckless use of elbow, but still as a tool (29'). Milovan Ristić with a hawk eye, some really tight offsides rightly flagged up.
ReplyDeleteAny news from Vienna??
DeleteI always watch only one match in full instead of more games simultaneously.
Delete@RayHD
DeleteIf I may ask, a visible improvement of the Serbian in dealing with problematic players, compared to Mandzukic in ATL-RLM in 2015 eg?
I think you meant Salzburg ;)
DeleteSkomina isn't challengend very much (his biggest problem are some paper balls on the pitch ;) ). Very little number of fouls, I think one missed foul. The AR's with correct calls so far. Summarized, everything is under control.
Yeah, both Costa and Simeone reacted with a huge respect towards Serbian. They even shook hands with Mazic when he approached them to warn them.
DeleteFor Skomina in Salzburg it seems a calm game so far.
DeleteNo controversies, expected level.
If you mean Salzburg and Skomina team...no mistake or border decisions...very calm teams and also referee team. It looks like Skomina really reduce the tensions till now.
DeleteOver last 2 year Mazic improved so much. He got a lot respect from teams, i never saw someone respect that much referee after they warned them like Ray said.
DeleteAlso work that Mazic and his AAR1 Grujic have is something perfect..
Great development by Mazic- regards!
DeleteSorry for writing it as Vienna for Skomina's game... I thought it's played in Vienna when it's actually being played at Wals-Siezenheim :)
DeleteIt looks I am a slowly typos
ReplyDeleteBefore half time in Moscow, a penalty appeal by CSKA for deliberate handball. In my opinion, penalty could have been whistled (AR2 / AAR2 side, not a frontal view for Zwayer).
ReplyDeleteLazio goal from Immobile hard to detect from TV but close onside
ReplyDeleteFew minutes later another goal was disallowed. Very tight, you can't blame the AR1 if this or the first decision was a mistake when even replays are unclear.
DeleteAny videos possible? :)
DeleteYes as a reporter said sometimes it depends of the number of the shoes :)
DeleteGreat team work at last YC for Felipe since all happened behind Skomina back
Sorry, I haven't the opportunity to make one, I think we need some help from someone like Ray.
DeleteIn the meantime the game got more challenging, three YC issued. The second one a bit questionable.
Salzburg is now in ascendancy to qualify!
DeleteCorrect YC to Montero in 65' - excellent work with Milovan Ristic for YC.
ReplyDeleteCorrect YC to Torres for SPA in 70'
DeleteCrazy second half in Salzburg...excellent onside for last Austrian goal
ReplyDeleteRaining goals:)
DeleteMatch is now very challenging for Skomina. 3-1 and we have another open tie. Correct decision to play on, following a penalty appeal by SS Lazio, arm close to body, natural position.
ReplyDeleteThings are calmer in Marseille at the moment... Leipzig is trying very hard but nothing dirty yet!!
DeleteMy God, what an evening in Europa League tonight. So far all it looks like officials are doing well.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like that April 2018 is full of crazy games
DeleteLast year was also exciting, 3 out of 4 games went to ET.
DeleteI wonder what grievances Lazio will come up with this time...
DeleteI just stopped watching Zwayer, good performance from what I saw; no challenging game in Moscow.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a possible penalty in the last minutes of first half.
DeleteI missed that, but according to my father (Arsenal fan...) it was no penalty... ;-)
DeleteMinute 81' what an ONSIDE by AR2 in Lisbon...
ReplyDeleteThe fight between Skomina and Mazic for the CL final just keeps getting better and more intense 💪💪💪
DeleteCorrect play-on after penalty appeal from Sporting players - maybe simulation + YC?
ReplyDeleteAlso excellent onside 2 minutes before penalty appeal for AR2 with good goal chance..
DeleteSkomina yellow carded a Rome substitute
ReplyDelete90' YC for dissent to Sakai. So evident dissenting, but it was a foul so far.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see a red card to Torres but we know that it's only a YC nowadays... Agree, good decision, according to UEFA recommendations.
ReplyDeleteOne of the managers has been sent to the stands here in Marseille for cobstantly lecturing Kuipers... I think it's the Leipzig manager!!
ReplyDeleteLast minute offside goal in Marseille?!? Did I see that right? No clear replays, but... What?
ReplyDeleteI thought as well on first viewing, seems like the player was just offside.
Deletehttps://www.clippituser.tv/c/rvzpwy
Clear offside, and the explanation can be that AR forgot that keeper had left his penalty area...
DeleteYes, it's offside. It's a blackout of assistant because of the situation of no goalkeeper. It's a pity because IMO Kuipers was quite good today.
DeleteOffside :/
DeleteWith all due respect Chefren, that is sadly not an explanation at this level...
DeleteUnbelievable black out at this level. Unforgiven decision.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteMight have been a clear missed offside and not that van Roekel has forgotten the GK wasn't there... That part is only speculation as of now :/
DeleteHere is the offside

Faultless Mazic. Well done! Now the CL final appointment will be a sad news for either Skomina or Mazic. I would like to see Serbian get this game and Skomina in next season. It would be the best diplomatic solution, if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteAbout Mažić's assistants... call me biased but I think they are world class officials.
DeleteWe often praise ARs of Çakir, Brych, Kuipers etc and call them best in the Europe but we don't mention Serbs with the same attribute and they totally deserve that.
I have an idea to make one big study about Serbian ARs about parcentage of correct decisions since their first match in CL/EL. If i succes, I would be very happy to share the results with visitors of this blog :)
Not because im from Serbia but for me Milovan Ristic is the best AR in the world, in the last 5 years he only had 1 mistake in Monaco - Besiktas..
DeleteDidn't get to watch a single game tonight, but I am very proud to read that Mazic and his crew were faultless. They are in a great shape for a long time, excellent refereeing, they grew up as a team, they are very, very experienced now and therefore it is expected for them to perform like they did tonight. For me it is non explainable why Mazic didn't get anything last year - he was brilliant in EL 1/4 finals in Istanbul all 120 minutes and after that match we didn't see them at all. I believe he deserved CL final, but one never knows with Collina.
DeleteAbout Milovan Ristic - I wrote several times on this and the blog before this (3rd team) that for me he is probably the best AR in Europe. Almost always faultless, real hawk eye, not only in Europe but also in domestic league. If not the best, he is for sure in top 3 ARs in Europe.
Skomina was always one of my favorites (Marciniak also), but I believe that we should see Skomina in CL semifinal this year, and in CL final next year. For EL final this year for me strong candidate become Rocchi, after Lazio's loss tonight.
So, Mazic and Rocchi for the finals, Skomina, Cakir, Kuipers (no matter this offside goal tonight) and maybe Brych (maybe due to Bayern) for semis!
Honestly speaking if the offside mistakes are considered, Kuipers and Brych might miss out!!
DeleteBut who instead of them? We can discuss about Cakir's missed PK for Juve in 93', and ruled him out, too. Who is left then? I watched Collum last night and he didn't satisfied me. Turpin maybe? I don't know. Marciniak? Big question mark, he and his team had one very bad evening, probably the only one in 5 years, but... Eriksson - no! Europe's refereeing miss a lot Clattenburg and Rizzoli, but that's what we have.
DeletePersonally I am not a fan of Brych, and Cakir disappointed me several times (EC was a nightmare), but they are he refs that Collina trusts a lot. SO, if we pick 4 best names for CL semis, there have to be place for Kuipers, Cakir, Brych and Skomina/Mazic (depends who will get final).
+ Rocchi
DeleteBut who for EL final then? Maybe Rocchi could get CL semifinal and EL final after that, but that could be risky. Very risky. What if he makes significant mistake? I believe that Collina will save two officials for the final - they will get only final matches and no the semis. This should be reasonable. But Collina obviously likes to gamble. So maybe we will see Mazic, Skomina and Rocchi all in semis, and expect their "fight" for the finals. This scenario is not impossible with Collina.
DeleteWoW WoW WoW. Sorry for Kuipers and his team but IMO 5-2 from OM is clearly offside ! Just one german player remaining. What a crucial mistake by a WC assistant here !
ReplyDeletehttps://www.clippituser.tv/c/rvzpwy
DeleteHere's the video!!
So soham? Do you agree?
DeleteYes I do... Unfortunate mistake... As discussed above, Van Roekel must have forgotten about the goalkeeper not being in place... Disappointing!!
DeleteClear offside, at least half of meter.
DeleteThere have been similar mistakes before (Benteke's miss in Liverpool-Leicester game) as these situations are very unusual by nature but unacceptable at this level for sure.
DeleteThat said it might be a missed offside and probably not that the AR forgot about the GK not being there so we can't be sure why exactly the mistake happened!
DeleteFor sure both Skomina and Mazic deserve something more, but the choice is now up to committee, and maybe before something more we will see both in CL semifinals. Let's see. A very reliable couple of Elite officials, if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteNow that Kuipers is out :( maybe both will have to feature in CL SFs because there aren't more reliable options!
DeleteIsn't that risky option? What if they make mistake? Who will referee final?
DeleteThe problem here is will they appoint Brych and Kuipers after some offside errors by their ARs? If not, there aren't many other options!!
DeleteIt is a very difficult topic now to make predictions about CL semifinals. We have many factors to consider, not only the referees who are available but also what happened in previous rounds. I think I will write an analysis soon.

ReplyDeleteRocchi EL-final
MAZIC CL-final
In case of Mazic appointed for CL final, it is indeed Rocchi the only option available for EL. The only thing against him is that he has already officiated SuperCup this season.
DeleteNo other candidates at all, and that's, let me say, it is a fault for UEFA committee. One can't deny that.
Skomina have to wait at least 1 year. Last year was Rocchi FO at the EL-final and Mazic at the CL-final. Is that a indication?
DeleteSkomina for CL final and Mazic for EL final are my thoughts!

Very solid Skomina yesterday evening. One wrong YC in minute 64 (Lucas/Lazio), otherwise a very calm and confident performance with a really strong personality. 8.3 would be my mark. AR1 with a very close offside decision which denied an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. Play on would be the better decision but I think he can be backed.

Brych with a tight match for the european spots. Gräfe with the Revierderby, maybe THE Derby in Germany. Zwayer got a match on Saturday in the 2. Bundesliga, Dresden against Nürnberg. Just less than 48 hours after the Match in Moscow. DFB make now the same weird thinks than the Spanish Guys. Appointments for DFB-Pokal Semifinals, played on Tuesday and Wednesday, expected for today.
Europa League Semifinal
ReplyDeleteOlympique Marseille - FC Salzburg
Arsenal FC - Atletico Madrid
Arsenal - Atletico is definitely something big!
DeleteIt will be a fascinanting duel, similar to a CL clash.
Brych and Kuipers for Arsenal v Atlético Madrid after the AR mistakes I would predict... Games requiring the Elite big name referees but in EL so these would be perfect names!
DeleteBrych seems to be a sure bet for Arsenal - Atlético
DeleteChampions League Semifinal
ReplyDeleteBayern - Real Madrid
Liverpool - Roma
Bayern - RMA will request best referees in both matchs..

I don't want to predict the final. For me UCL final will be refereed by either Slovenian or Serbian. About UEL final its seem more choice.
Rocchi was bad in Madrid-PSG
DeleteMy first thought is Cakir for Bayern - Real, either first or second leg. I must think about the rest :)
ReplyDeleteThats what im thinking too, Cakir is sure name for either first or second leg in Bayern - Real
DeleteChefren, i think with PLC it's possible to have Çakir in both legs))
DeleteIndeed, this scenario would suit again this season :)
DeleteTwo or three semifinals for Cakir and we solve our problems :)
Best is give all the 4 SFs to Cakir and let the other referees rest before the World Cup :D
DeleteGreat :v
Delete@Soham :DDD
DeleteLike someone said on this blog, how useful could have been Clattenburg in this moment...
Fresh predictions :
DeleteBayern v Real : Çakir / Çakir
Liverpool v Roma : Çakir / Çakir
Marseille v Salzburg : Brych / Kuipers
Arsenal v Atlético : Çakir / Çakir
Best solution IMO 😎 It's a pity that the EL matches are played simultaneously and that prevents Çakir 🇹🇷 from whistling all 8 matches :(
"Expect the unexpected"
DeleteIf Collina appoints Ahmed Çakar maybe no one would notice, this would allow "Çakir" to have all eight Semifinals...

ReplyDeleteBayern v Real : Kuipers / Çakir
Liverpool v Roma : Brych / Mazic
