ReplyDeleteFrom the video I think it is wrong. Definitely no need for OFR. The attacker reaches for a ball which is close, but misses and barely touches the goal keeper with the tip of the shoe. Never a red card.

Penalty awarded for the goalkeeper making late contact in the attacker. Given on field. Supported by VAR.
Mass confrontation following the Penalty in the goal net. Difficult for any referee to manage. RC shown for VC to a PAOK player.
Another RC shown a few minutes later for offensive/insulting language directed towards AR1

Penalty is maybe a call by AR1, hard in case to detect for Sozza from his position. I think you can support the call, but it's not very clear whether keeper hit only opponent or not.
Impossible to manage the following mass confrontation.
About the assessment whether deliberate play or deflection, I think it was deflection, defender puts the leg but no time to think, it resulted just in touching the ball. Difficult for AR to raise this offside flag live, but in the end i think correct decision after VAR intervention,.
I agree - it's difficult to raise a flag if you act so uninterested and 5 meters behind the line.
DeleteAfter the away team had scored from a penalty, it is the home team’s turn to put the ball back into play.
DeleteThe away team was not entitled to claim possession of the ball.
If there is a suspicion that the home team is wasting time, the referee must manage the situation.
In this phase of play, a home player was holding onto the ball very tightly because an away player was (wrongly) trying to gain possession of it.
