Srđan Jovanović

England - France (7.9)

Correct penalty for handball (24'). Correctly disallowed England's goal (59'). Correct penalty for illegal tackle but wrongly assessed live as only reckless - studs over the ankle - VAR (Guida) rightly invited him to review the tackle and RC for SFP was issued.

Well spotted second touch of the kicker as the ball bounced back from post (62'). Apart from wrongly assessed SFP, a faultless performance.

Belgium - Italy (8.2)

41' - VAR (Dingert) doesn't inform Jovanović about deliberate stamp on hand
52' - Correctly rejected handball penalty appeal
53' - Correctly allowed 0-2 goal; ball didn't cross the goal line in the build-up
57' - Badly positioned Jovanović pushed by 2BEL
89' - 1-3 goal firstly disallowed for offside, allowed after VAR intervention (no offside)
90+3' - Correct 2nd YC/RC 7BEL for reckless tackle

- Missed two clear deliberate handballs (8', 29', the second one was also a shot on goal so a YC missed)

- Didn't lose control in a game with many incidents to assess (11 yellow cards given!), was serious and confident all the time, didn't tolerate dissent (stern warning in 8', YCs in 57' and 65')

Germany - Spain, Final (7.8)

Easy game to referee.

23' - Did Jovanović wait for VAR confirmation after missing a foul centimetres outside the penalty area?

33' - Wrongly assessed tackle as only reckless, it was SFP

Again very firm and keeping everything under control even if something is missed by him (see the under-punished cynical late foul and the conflict in 28').

Overall: perhaps not the best decision maker but you can be sure that he won't be influenced by players and will keep control even if he makes a mistake.
