  1. The management of women's appointments in men's competition never followed a clear line and that's another signal.
Now we have two names at their debut with Men's games: Demetrescu (ROU) and Projkovska (MKD), while Martinčić (CRO) had already got something. The Croatian seems to have lost some credits in UEFA as well, after the very strange management she got at Women's WC (we all thought about her as very big name for European confederation).
For some reasons, Projkovska, differently from the other two, will be with male assistant referees.
Then, to underline again Kourgheli from Belarus, second assignment for him in Youth League, after Braga - Napoli, and also in this case a good game, I think they are also compensating in some way the fact that Kulbakov can't get something very big at moment.

    1. Also strange that Demetrescu and Projkovska are chosen above two females, who are included in the male's categories, namely Foster and Monzul.
OK, for Monzul one can argue, that she has already progressed further with her EL and ECL debuts - maybe she will get a Conference League game next week?
But still no male game for Foster is surprising.
Also several female referees (e.g. Welch, Caputi, Olofsson) should be ahead of Demetrescu and Projkovsa, if we consider, that both didn't referee at the recent WWC.

    2. Maybe some females will get UECL games this matchday.

    3. Foster doesn’t referee men’s football anymore domestically so this is probably why. She hasn’t whistled for a couple of years in wales premier league.

    4. That's incorrect

    5. Unless the hugely reliable soccerway has chosen to exclude her from her matches but not others then the comments about her are true

  2. Communication between referee and VAR in the top match between Club Brugge and Antwerp.

Referee for this match is Bram Van Driessche with Lawrence Visser as VAR.

There is a longer video available, but I'm not sure if it works.

  3. English referee John Brooks revealed he is flying to Azerbajan on Tuesday, perhaps for the Europa league game between Qarabag and Leverkusen on Thursday?

    2. Would, however, be the next weird career path: Brooks started on MD3 directly in the Europa League without having handled a Conference League match before and would get his second game there on MD4.

Lovely news for Rebecca Welch from england

      Delete
    3. @anonymous 02:36 wrong topic/place, is Rebecca Welch better than Gillett, Brooks, Jones? I doubt. Is she better than Tierney? Never.

      Delete
    4. 1. She is only holding a numbers board up.

      2. On recent showings she can’t be worse than Tierney or Gillett who seems more focused on giving out yellows for complaining about his wrong decisions rather than getting the calls right

  5. OT: Can I ask even maybe still to early, but who are the contenders for the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Coppa Italia, Copa Del Rey, Coupe de France, and DFB Pokal finals. I’m only followed EPL, so for me after Coote and Tierney last year, surely for the FA Cup is Stuart Attwell in front and for Carabao Cup is Graham Scott for farewell match maybe, the others for Carabao Cup maybe Simon Hooper or Peter Bankes. What about the others national cup?

    1. For Germany, it will probably be between Osmers, Dingert and Dankert

    2. Most likely atwell for fa cup and either Scott, madley or hooper for carabao?

      Delete
    3. For Spain, De Burgos Bengoetxea

      Delete
    4. Soctt for the cup final? Dear me he referees a premier league game barely once a month. No chance with Hooper either he is just rubbish. Madley and Attwell

    5. Coppa Italia-Doveri

      Delete
    6. @anonimos 13:22 but Graham Scott is one of the best referee manager so far, almost never made crucial mistake and then why u can’t give him farewell match after what happened in the past about his unvalid demotion

      Delete
    7. Almost never makes crucial mistakes, but he almost never referees. He just holds the numbers board up every week. Would be a disgrace if he gets a final

      Delete
    8. For ENGREF did you know why he rarely get a game despite never made crucial mistake, I doubt if it was related with his condition (age) because simply u won’t passed the test if u are not in good condition especially in certain age. So for me where is the disgrace if he gets a final? Really deserve for him to get farewell match, same question was there a disgrace in Lee Mason appointment in EFL Cup final?

  6. U17 World Cup starts in one week do we know when appointments will be likely?

    5. Marciniak will continue to pursue his great ambitions and FIFA confirms it with this choice. If this were not the case, they could have chosen someone else from the European elite. Well done Marciniak! Good health to you and your team. The final of the Euro and Olympic Games awaits.
