DeleteArsenal - PSG Vinčić
ReplyDeleteI would predict Vinčić in the return in Paris, no?
DeleteMe not, but we will see :)
DeleteWell, if Vinčić works next week in the 1st leg, it would explain why he was AVAR yesterday in Saudi pro league.
DeleteToday they changed him also in semifinal cup match which is on thursday..unfortunatelly looks like an injury.
DeleteChampions League

how could you insist with Makkelie for the final I don't understand. he didn't have a KO game in CL and going straight to the final? all refs should have KO games before the final.

ReplyDeleteTamás Bognár (Buzás, Kóbor - Vad) and João Pinheiro (Bruno Jesus, Luciano Maia - Tiago Martins) in Saudi Arabia.
Daniel Schlager (Schröder), Miguel Nogueira (Vasco Santos), Dennis Higler (Van Boekel) in Cyprus.
Does anyone know what finger grip Marciniak uses for his whistle? I noticed Soares Dias used the same one (or very similar). It looks like it fits nicely around his finger (almost like a ring) but he is able to take it off easily. If anyone knows that would be great!
ReplyDeleteIt's what I call the "Japanese flex ring". Basically similar to Fox40 flex coils but to a smaller scale so that it's wrapped around the finger instead of the wrist.
DeleteSeems like it's an Adidas product but 'endemic' from Japan, as it's been all but impossible for me to find it on sale outside of certain Japanese e-commerce websites, see below:

Unfortunately, Tomasz Musiał (former FIFA) copied Delajod/Letexier today and issued ONLY a YC for this clear SFP challenge in today's FKS Stal Mielec vs Górnik Zabrze. Even worse, as he didn't issue any card at first and after being rightly called by Wojciech Myć (new FIFA) to the monitor he still couldn't assess it properly...

Btw, it was Musiał's first Ekstraklasa game after his suspension for the famous pre-UCL scandal, his recovery in second tier lasted longer than Frankowski's who was back to Ekstraklasa already on 1st March.
DeleteIf rumors are true that Vincic has been taken off Al Hilal-Al Shabab and the Slovenian Cup semi-final, then UEFA will have a small issue to solve.
ReplyDeleteI already pencilled Marciniak and Vincic for the return legs. Although we can't rule out Turpin in Inter-Barca (return) since UEFA doesn't care about PSG in the opposite bracket and in fact Turpin is more experienced than Vincic. With Marciniak in the opposite bracket in Paris?
Vincic could have been the name in Arsenal-PSG (1st leg) and for that match the observer name is still “pending”. I assume the Slovenian won’t take any risks with CWC this summer.
Arsenal - PSG: Mikulski (POL).
DeleteI somehow have the feeling that IF Vincic will miss the semi (big if…) it is a battle between Rosetti and Velasco Carballo to slot in an Italian or Spanish :P
Vassaras (GRE) observes in Manchester.
Impossible to think about an Italian referee in CL semifinal.
DeleteMostly due to Inter, but even without it, Massa coming from another weak game after the discussed missed red card, Mariani with two games in quarterfinals. It is clearly the end, at least in Champions League (but I think rather in all three competitions...).
Slovenian FA changed the whole team includin var which was borosakfor the match pn 30.4 in domestic league, so for sure Vincic in CL next week. Hope he has properly recovered from injury...can not inagine the same disaster as Skomina had in Brugge Dortmund (knee injury) after he has finished his carrier
DeleteSounds like Vincic has Arsenal-PSG and they manage him carefully.
DeleteOn itself “suspicious” that a very steady referee with already a UCL final gets the 1st leg. He might be in the running to get the CWC opener?
One other option is that UEFA will appoint him twice (1st leg Champions League and UEL return).
Nikola Dabanović and István Kovács in Saudi Arabia today.
ReplyDeleteChefren, question: in the part of the Women's EURO the name of Edina Alves doesn’t appear, only the UEFA referees appear…I don't know if you're the one who edits it but just so you know ;)
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm not. But I will report this!
