    Foul selection started high bar lots of contact permitted. It has gotten lower and lower as half went on. Still very calm in his demeanor.

    Didn’t get a chance to see this game but interested in people’s opinions and analysis after his first game. I watched bits and pieces, did not seem to be the easy free pass as I initially thought (with USA topping the group and Turkyie already eliminated) but still a game with absolutely zero riding on the outcome.

      He was a lot more relaxed than his first game and allowed the game to flow more. I’ve never rated him, but thought he did pretty well

    IMO Ghorbal was much more "doing Ghorbal things", than in his - very bad - first match. Very calm, not always with a completely consistent foul detection, but with good trust in himself, not half as nervous as 1st time. He is no more the law enforcing ref of his first years, but in a positive contact to the players. Serious, with an acceptable technical level, a bit too lenient imo. Just good average.

      I think he lost that chance with his first game. If he had same approach in first game as he did last night he probably would appear once more. Now, maybe as 4th official only
