First reckless chalange in 3nin just warning from the ref
ReplyDeleteClip: https://streamable.com/woa7ue
DeleteI don’t mind this, 3m in the match and although the vision went to a replay it seemed he used some man management here. On replay, it was a glancing contact (and maybe no contact?) So happy with the management here so early in the match.
DeleteStepp on the foot 8 min the ref let play on missed foul and yc
ReplyDeleteClip: https://streamable.com/d4v9pa
DeleteYes, contact was with studs on top of the foot but maybe I agree letting this one go. Technical a foul but with Swe defender in control of the ball and was only concerned with keeping possession perhaps that’s why he let it go. No big reaction from players or coaches so perhaps okay to let this go.
DeleteWith the lift foot if it was with the right I could agree he cant prevented
DeleteClear missed foul. But YC not mandatory in this particular conditions.
DeleteThe game is going to be physical
ReplyDeleteI haven’t got that impression. Tun not a physical side or making unreasonable challenges but Swe definitely resolute and strong defensively.
DeleteMissed yc
ReplyDeleteCorrectly applying the 5 second throw in count down against Tun before the hydration break = good
ReplyDelete26’ Potential off field incident in first half between Tun attacker & Swe defender with Tun falling over the advertising boards. Was quick on the spot to manage any fall out.
Now a second goal for Sweden. Already it didn’t seem too much was happening in this match, this extra goal may just deflate the tension further, turning the difficulty rating down too.
Good advantage played for Swe before goal, was a simple coming together not a SPA/reckless. Fitness, anticipation and positioning good transitioning from Swe defense to the Swe goal.
DeleteIm sleepy as hell and this argentinian is acting like a traffic policeman Omg... I mean, this is some kind of obsession with the whistle...I have two different headaches at this point.
ReplyDeleteI have been not watching this game so closely, but the number one thing I notice about the referee is how physically fatigued he looks every time the camera shows him up close.
ReplyDeleteWhile the performance is solid, way too much use of the whistle.. becoming annoying and as if he wants you to be in the spotlight
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it was South American style but then earlier today Letexier was big on the multiple whistles after initial whistles. Maybe this is a FIFA directive.
Delete19' Throw-in incident

https://streamable.com/06nvm5
ReplyDelete41’ Small technical error by not calling the careless Swe foul, leading to a second nibble by Swe and a reaction by Tun player. Easily avoided with an earlier whistle but understanding why they want to game to flow so not quick to call it
43’ goal Tun 2-1, should make the game interesting in the second half.
3' and 8' I can accept NO CARD.
ReplyDelete19' Throw-in: yes that's the rule, but when it comes from a team that is losing the game... it's strange.
Nevertheless, it's good to fight against players' bad habits.

DeleteClear YC missed
ReplyDeleteBlantant Yellow Card.

You beat me!
DeleteI got it wrong here, thought you were referring to the one at the end of first half. The fact this happened straight afterwards is disappointing after a good game thus far.
DeleteThere’s no way. That’s laughable from a FIFA referee. Clear SPA.

Delete45+1’ Tactical Foul, no card
No warning, no player management, the Swe player seemed non fussed but probably his first error here of the half
Crystal YC missed. No excuse here.
Deletehttps://streamable.com/gptwx8
ReplyDelete45+3’ Assistant Coach leaving TA and moving in front of the Sweden bench. Seems a reasonable response, probably deserves a YC but stern warning seems okay
Entering the opponents technical area in a non-confrontational manner. Required caution by the law. Another missed caution.
Delete53 the method of showing yc is so lazy
ReplyDeleteCorrect YC after advantage

Good spot by VAR. Stressed announcement.
ReplyDeleteThat's the problem with SAOT and audio alert, now AR will raise the flag but the technology can't tell you that another touch it. Once again Terrible announcement.
ReplyDeleteI don't know but it seems the semi auto offside take the wrong touch to count decisions
ReplyDeleteAr need to be more focus and alert and Don't relay on spat 1000%
DeleteWould love to have a replay with the image of the sensor inside the ball like UEFA did in EURO to determine when isaak touch it.
ReplyDeleteThere it is, great by FIFA production to show it for the understanding of everyone.
DeleteNo VAR signal, the VAR just opens the mic without the referee being ready. Then the referee only talks and doesn’t signal goal, leaving the players confused. Correct factual review.
ReplyDeleteThe referee controls his own mic. Not the VAR
DeleteIncorrect. The VAR controls the live stadium announcement being turned on and off.
DeleteOnce again AR just being yell at and no reaction from anyone, that is a problem. imo
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteConnected ball graph for the offside review just shown on broadcast at 90+3
ReplyDeleteNow Var coordinate with directors and show us diagram with the ball touch . I just wonder why this didn't happend with handball Haiti games to make it clear
ReplyDeleteI am sure they didn’t even think it was a possible handball and missed it.

Some comments about later night/morning performacnes:
ReplyDelete1.SUPERB Performance delivered from Francois Letexier in very challenging match with lot of fouls. Sharp signals, whsitle sound, more then excellent fitness, always close to action. Top communication with players, trusted from them, put things on a right way early. Very well technical and disciplinary control. I can not belive that such referee exist, and all who love the refereeing should be happy becouse they live in time of this gentelman. More than strong start for him. Wish him to continue like this.
2. Standard performance from Yael Falcon, no controversy, match with high result difference. Strong physicality, but showed lack of authority in some moments. Disciplinary good, but tecnical aspects should be better in some moments. At the end, very good officiating standard in general, good for football and FIFA WC.
OT: I saw some legitimate comments about promises about the final, and that no UEFA referee will be there because of LAST WC Final. My opinion is that nobody, not Collina, is so uninitlligent to promise anybody anything. All WC Finals were well deserved throguh tournament, and I know surley that there will be the best one from competition,in this case, WC.
Some comments about your comment:
Delete1. 10000% agreed. +1. +100. Maybe my sleep deprivation comes into play here but I can't get the image of Letexier's face out of my head. It is actually mind blowingly amazing that we're getting to witness him at his best. When others will talk about having experienced Messi, I will say he is nothing in comparison to Letexier, when discussing their impact on world football.
The WC final is actually already promised to Makkelie. I have very strong sources for this. It is a very peculiar situation involving both UEFA and FIFA and the intricacies of the UEFA Super Cup final being SNATCHED from Makkelie's hands. FIFA decided to act immediately as a response to UEFA's "coup". So it will be unless something VERY strange happens be the Dutch officiating the final. We all know, of course, that it should be the best referee on the planet to take charge of that game, and his name is Francois Letexier.
MQ, whatever psilocybin you take, please send it to me, as it sounds like a lot of fun.
DeleteSorry I find it hard to believe that because they didn't give makkelie the super cup they promised him the wc final. To me that's ridiculous
ReplyDeleteWait and see!
DeleteCan we just stop feeding the troll named MQ? All of his comment are just sarcastic or simply adding nothing to the discussion.
