  1. So we have the final verdict about Pinheiro, our friend will be happy.
Conference League for him: confirmation that the mistake they made had a certain importance, but not a disaster or anything for which a season should have ended. However, surely a disappointment.
Now the Portuguese with his countryman as VAR.
Jablonski gets Conference League after the terrible performance in the friendly England - Uruguay, this can be a rare case in which a performance for a rather unofficial game (I still consider friendlies in a certain way from my point of view) affected a bit the continuation of the season for a referee. It should have been something extraordinary in negative way, and indeed for me it was. But at same time, maybe nothing dramatic, Conference League instead of a possible Europa League quarterfinal.
The game for Eskas in Greece could be very challenging, but Spanish side seems rather safe for qualification at moment.
Having to make a prediction, a possible surprise for the Norwegian, I already wrote that yesterday, could be for him to jump directly in CL semifinal (not impossible), after this one.

    1. In my opinion, if it will be to pick one between Nyberg and Eskas for a first leg UCL semifinal, the Swedish is more entitled to be chosen. I think Nyberg showed better performances long term, I'd go with him. Altough Eskas has more UCL games in the last 2 seasoms, Nyberg had the better ones. Eskas had quantity, Nyberg quality. The most important aspect, the Swedish performed better I think.

    2. Although Jablonski didn't perform well in England, I don't see his appointment in Alkmaar as a punishment. As a newcomer to the elite group with two or three knockout matches under his belt, he shows he has earned the committee's trust.

  2. Any confirmation on the referees for the U17/U19s finals tournament this year? Who should be considered?

  3. Considering Hernandez Hernandez selection as as world cup referee is it not very surprising that he has not been appointed to a game here
