Possible YC for a reckless tackle in 17'
ReplyDeleteOk to stay without card IMO.
DeleteFor me, it’s borderline reckless but this early in the game it’s okay. Surprise no player management
Delete17’ Borderline Reckless

Easy 1/4 for Atcho. He probably hopes that game will continue in same style
ReplyDeleteA little pedantic on the position of the FK at 23'
ReplyDeleteAgree
DeleteToo long delay for warnings before corner kick
ReplyDelete33' More goalkeeper falling over, and a foul being invented. Not sure much happened there, and much of the earlier holding seemed to be on Norwegians. Generally throughout the tournament, referees playing it very safe and giving a lot of defensive FKs, doesn't look like a penalty will be given unless super obvious, impactful holding. Agree with the above on the overly fussy FK positioning. It was closer than the 13m away that the Belgian goal came from!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is a big issue that is the next area IFAB needs to address. GK time wasting, tick, goal kick and throw in time wasting, tick. Corner shirt pulling?
DeleteThe issue is that there is a lot of shirt pulling and holding going on both ways. How can they just give defensive fouls?
Even in the earlier game, the French defender stepped on his own goal keeper (although there was off the ball pushing/contact that might have led to the own player stamping)
Easy match for Atcho but I like his style and very dynamic evolution on the pitch. Very good physical condition opposite of Faghani catastrophic athletic level.
ReplyDeleteHis style is indecisive and inconsistent, not good enough.
DeleteAR1 with a missed corner, given as goal kick on 43'. Have no explanation on how that was missed
ReplyDeleteCalls way too many soft fouls
ReplyDeleteThere's been 14 fouls in the game. Not that many
DeleteDisagree. Good foul detection by Atcho who is refereeing seriously the game. Good corner and no penalty call.
DeleteI'm not sure the line has been 100% consistent. A few let go, a few softer given. But nothing too significant
DeleteComplete opposite to the approach of Fagani and the earlier game. More soft fouls but I feel like he is trying to change the foul recognition bar too often in the match. Understand if game over heats and too many bad challenges but it isn’t like this, sometimes calls a soft foul and 15minutes later lets it go
DeleteAtcho giving too many soft fouls and has zero personality on the pitch
ReplyDeleteRidiculous. Nothing to do from disciplinary activity. Only event was a calmdown speech with two players which was well executed.
DeleteVery average first half from Pacho. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding. Decent levels of pace, fitness and positioning. Opted for a medium/low-medium tolerance for fouls. Not as low as Ghorbal, not as high as Faghani. Does love a lengthy explanation at set pieces which will start to lose effect the more often he does it.
ReplyDeleteAtcho not Pacho
DeleteAtcho has been woefully inconsistent and has constantly favoured the underdogs.
ReplyDelete+1 Many soft free kicks for Iraq.
DeleteDisagree.
DeleteTotally disagree with many of the comments above. Disciplinary line has been fine. Decisions have been fine. Correct no penalty call. He has a good presence on the pitch and is communicating well with players
ReplyDeleteAgree. Same impression.
DeleteToo many soft fouls given. No consistency
ReplyDeleteAR2 with a completely incorrect throw in decision from less than 5 yards away on 55'
ReplyDeleteAgree. Gabonese assistants from Atcho aren’t at the WC level as they were very unperfect during CAN in Morocco…
DeleteUnfortunately both AR's haven't covered themselves in glory so far.
DeleteAtcho has been fine if not remarkable as I stated above.
I think AR1 has been rather good. Many foul/no foul incidents to assess in his vicinity, and he's been on top of things. AR2, maybe less so
DeleteAgree. Ditsoga is better.
DeleteA goal kick awarded but at least 2 offside offences there
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know how Atcho would deal with Premier League levels of cosiness in the 6 yard box from a corner. I feel these warnings have gone beyond the point of being useful
ReplyDeleteNorway player on the keeper in an offside position for the third goal??
ReplyDeleteIn the 3rd goal, he was about to whistle a fault but then he saw the ball in the net and he didn’t call… acceptable decision of him and VAR
ReplyDeleteNo foul at all. No problem to accept this third goal.
DeleteGood first YC at 86’ by Atcho.
ReplyDeleteIf I recall well, this is already third game in which first YC is in very late stage of the game for SPA
ReplyDeleteYes.
DeleteOverall good match for Atcho in a very very easy game. Not brilliant but ko problems at all.
ReplyDeleteNo *
DeleteDecent performance. Brief check late on for handball. Not immediately prior to the goal and the arm was by the side
ReplyDeleteStrange final whistle
ReplyDeleteI liked his performance. Nothing outstanding but that's just the how the game was. Hope to see him once more during the tournament
ReplyDeleteAtcho is not good enough ,too inconsistent ,allowed several off the ball body checks .This movement and positioning were pathetic
ReplyDeleteI’m currently at 65’ and the disciplinary line has been inconsistent. Iraq go down easy and look to embellish, at times he seems to have it spot on and then at others he lowers his threshold (but without any corresponding change to the temperature or intensity of the match). Easy first half but this second half has been disappointing for me. No controversy, no huge mistakes but just not what I’m wanting for a good performance.
