    Most of readers here has been discussed about Taylor performance at FA cup and his ability to handle a final. Yes it's true it was not a good match by him but that doesn't mean that he can't. Doesn't mean that Anthony it's not capable to referee a final. This year he has been most consistent referee with very good performance. IMO its very well deserved and good luck to Anthony and his team.
    PS: not real Anthony :p

      Nobody say that Anthony can not handle the final. But, his questionable performance in Fa cup final made as dobutful. But Anthony for sure will be Cl final ref until the end of his career. Good luck for him tonight, also to his team.

      I think it is a penalty. Apart from the fact that Taylor’s positioning was the best possible, Alaba goes straight to Rakitic’s body, never challenging for the ball ‘cause he’s really late. But that’s just my opinion

      No. If you whistle this penalty, every brawl during a corner kick must result in a penalty in terms of shoulder to shoulder contact.

      Very interesting situation. Grey area, one can argue about the fact that the bayern player didn't challenge his opponent while playing the ball/ball being on distance of play, but on the other hand it wasn't that clear and keeper would have taken control of the ball anyway.

      As live perception is for sure completely different from replay angle, I might not have whistled this but I can live any day with a PK call either.

      not a call you want to see in an european final, but I think supportable. Bayern player is late and working against opponent‘s body. But better nor to whistle, especially in such a match.

      I think the FK was taken a bit higher in Sevilla's half that it should have been, but as he allowed bayern to do so, he is right to caution the player who is not respecting the distance and trying to referee on his terms.

      Penalty for me. But I have seen the suggestion that a PK in a final must be very, very clear. I think he would get a lot of stick eather way. It was definitely not shoulder to shoulder and the force of the bump was not negatable, good decision IMO.

    These comments... Sorry but clearly offensive. Talking about scandal and disaster and so on... There is space for improvement of course , but nobody mentioning correct yellow cards or good advantages, great positioning and so on... Only the bad things, even though Taylor is showing why he is an elite referee.
    Regarding the disallowed goal there were not a single good angle so far shown. In my opinion just based on one camera angle there could be a minor hold. But please even though you disagree with Taylor in some cases, try to keep a good manner.

      Disagree. There is one comment talking about a scandal which is clearly reaching however all other comments are totally valid. All YC that he handed out were absolutely obvious. The penalty was soft. It seems that you just need to fall and you'll always get the call. On top of that the 'foul' before the second Bayern call was soft at best and non-existent at worst.

      Penalty was fully correct. Offside was hard to detect and Taylor could do nothing about it.
      And let's see if someone find an angle where it's validated that there was no foul by Lewandowski.(probably camera from behind the goal would help)
      So stop these overreactions about he is not a man for a final and so on.

      I've thought about this more overnight and spoke to a friend (MLS referee) about it.

      The control of the ball issue is obviously subjective. I would say the likelihood/possibility of gaining possession at the MOMENT OF THE FOUL is quite high, so for me DOGSO conditions are clearly met. The only reason it looks like he won't gain control is because he's fouled and the ball falls easily to the keeper.

      However... re-reading the Laws I am reminded that the word "charge" is not included with the examples of "holding, pushing, pulling." So the LOTG are not written in a way that all non-leg fouls have to be DOGSO-red. This is a charging foul, but it's a charging foul with an attempt and possibility to play the ball. So, on reflection, I would conclude that a red card would be wrong from an LOTG perspective (and to be clear, from a match management perspective I would never expect a red card here).

      All that said... I do think this was DOGSO and a yellow.

    And the rest was average, at least. All in all I must say Taylor did IMO 2 crucial mistakes and missed at least 2YCs, and his foul detection was not convincing at all. I have seen him much, much better. Good luck next time.

    OT: Europa League play off appointments are published. As I expected Bebek is appointed (Cluj-KUPS). After his performance in Juve-Lyon Zwayer is also appointed in EL as expected. Missing elite are: Kuipers, Lahoz, Brych, Orsato, Marciniak, Grinfeld, Skomina if I am right.
