  1. Rather normal appointments today with Elite in Group A, First in Group B and Second in Group C - with the exception of Boiko, what doesn't really surprise though.

  2. Another CL appointment after Ekberg, Grinfeld and Kabakov, Stieler in charge of Ferencváros - Dinamo Zagreb.

    4. According to reports, it seems like a challenging game for Cunha and a bad day at the office for Ferreira.

    2. Looks like a soft call, however a closer replay is needed.
I can point out that Cakir was looking at the ball a few seconds before turning his head to the incident, it is possible he thought that there had been something more serious by defender before. Not the best way to whistle directly a penalty, a bit on intuition, because he was not looking in that direction from the beginning.

    3. I don’t agree with Forlan and Chefren. It was a blantant holding which made by both arms.As you see in the clip left arm coming from back finished on shoulder. How can you jump if someone hold you behind???.If you play wrestling in football then you are right!!!

Apart from excellent penalty decision Cakir was great in the game..excellent running, good positioning and “great managment” the best in the world

3 yellow cards were correct..Holding for penalty, reckless tackle and step on foot.

      Cheers

  12. Missed yellow in Czech Rep-Scotland for a clearly reckless illegal use of arm by Czech player, 35. minute. Referee has clear view.

    1. 51. minute correct penalty Scotland for clear holding+tripping
      92. minute again missed yellow for reckless stamping foot by Czech no.6

  13. Expected level by Brych in first half, a correct YC for reckless use of arm.

  14. Good onside by Dabanovic's AR2 in Slovakia goal.

PK in BIH-POL: I wouldn't have called it, and I think that very few people expected a PK call there.

  15. Very good second half by Brych, surely more challenging than the first part. Good no penalty call in 87', correct cards. Very strong body language, always in control. To be honest in these months I see definitely an excellent and better Brych than the referee of some years ago and maybe also what was missing to him for officiating more games at big tournaments.

  16. Brych seems better than ever. DFB should allow him to stay on the FIFA List until WC 2022, if Germany wants to be represented by a good referee... provided he will not repeat him 2018 experience.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nyberg without problems in an easy going Austria - Romania.

  18. Agree with comments re Brych, I thought he was superb in EL semi-final, especially the use of the whistle to make his point emphaticlly and slow the game down when it was necessary
