On field decision PK and OFR now in operation
ReplyDeleteAfter review No penalty the arm deemed to be in natural position correctly agree and exactly good use of VAR
DeleteTerrible penalty call
ReplyDeleteYep
Deletecorrect no pen after ofr handball check
ReplyDeleteWrongly awarded PK for Belgium. Hand was in natural position, not making body bigger. Correct intervention by VAR and penalty overturnerd after OFR
ReplyDeleteWhy no corner kick after the OFR?
ReplyDeleteYou can't give a CK when you are taking a decision to something than happen before, it's like everything happen after does not exist so here drop ball restart.
DeleteAnd instead of corner, decision is goal kick.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stupid rule,if they changed plenty then they should have change this also.
Trajectory of the ball was corner.
Drop ball not GK, but agree maabe something to think about. .
DeleteUnlucky penalty call for Makhadmeh, it did look like the other arm got it on first viewing so an easy mistake to make. Good intervention
ReplyDeleteYeah, not a fan of acting like it should’ve been easy live. Completely reasonable decision live and good use of VAR

DeleteBad call on field, great intervention by VAR and great announcement, now they are opening the mic immediately which is great.
ReplyDelete45’+6 - Conversation between referee and NZ player, the player responds “don’t take the piss”
ReplyDeleteIt is colloquial English or slang per se, not offensive language or meant as dissent
DeleteCorrect YC for SPA at 55'
ReplyDelete46' Rather wrong YC - ball was played.
ReplyDeleteCorrect by VAR to call for an OFR.
ReplyDeleteHowever, this call by Jordan referee shows us once again how difficult is to assess handballs. Quick action, shot on goal, one arm in punishable position, the other not, but still open (however close to body). It's definitely impossible to catch the exact moment and to play on, the perception will be always different, a touch by arm and the feeling of a penalty... that's why VAR exists. However, I always repeat that a referee must assign a penalty for handball when he only exactly sees the arm in punishable position having contact with ball and this didn't happen... field decisions about handballs are impossible to make with 100% accuracy.
Good and clear announcement, that's another positive aspect.
