  3. What do you guys think about this match ? Will it be nice and "easy" because they respect each other, or will it be "crazy" at some point ?

    1. Everything uncertain and very much hanging in balance

    2. As long as he manages it like a clasical UEFA match, all should be fine

  4. I'm pretty sure that Taylor won't take any crap from the players.

  6. I know it is not the "right" thread so I won't post more than this, but I am really looking forward to the next game. It can go off the rails ....

  7. Good luck to Taylor. I think he is very capable of leading this!

  8. I'm not saying that it should be a penalty every time, but there are too much holding and shirt pulling in the area.

    1. And it happens in football generally

    2. It happens because referee’s allow it to happen. Defensive players know that they no longer have to defend smartly. They just grapple with the attacking players to neutralize them.

All the referees do is talk and warn all game long. But they never act beyond verbal threats.

  9. Missed YC to Cancelo (POR) for a clear holding out of the play. Big foul and just FK for Taylor. Too lenient IMO.

  10. And another one missed on the other YC. Typical WC 2026 approach by Taylor.

  12. Half time clean performance by the English crew Taylor and his ARs just neat and tidy, I believe the second half will more challenging as the quarter finals bid we expect, hopefully the officials deliver in next 45+' as well

  13. Unexpectedly easy first half for Taylor in which he did fine with what was put in front of him

  15. What FIFA is trying to implement here is going to cause us all a great deal of trouble. No one will understand any longer why yellow cards are given for tactical fouls, because everyone will look to the World Cup as a benchmark. These are going to be very difficult times for us (amateur) referees!

  16. It is so sad that Zwayer and Makkelie are out of World Cup and only 4O, but unexperienced or terrible referees like from Uzbekistan and Jordanian get nomination s for KO games. Quality and performances should matter in refereeing, but FIFA is only interested in confederations equality
