  3. Alberola Rojas with a very good performance in copa del rey today. It was a very hot game in first tame, but he was always in full control and mangaged the players to calm down. I think his strengthen are not in being tecnically the very best, but having very good natural authority and having very good soft skills.
I would like to ask our spanish experts(Quilava?)whether his standing in national comitee is also getting higher? I have the feeling that he get some good games these days. This year he was already the ref of villareal:atletico and todays game San Sebastian:Atletico

  4. Freuler's RC has been assessed as Borderline. I agree with that. Here in Switzerland obviously the RC was not well received, and maybe with the low temperature of the game a YC would have been better. But it was a dangerous tackle that brushed the planted leg. Could have been a lot worse with full contact.

  5. After perhaps fifteen years, Italy finally has a designator who is not afraid to take risks. AIA is no longer dependent on the clubs and the newspapers as it was under Rizzoli's management. Bravo Rocchi!

  6. Many interesting feedbacks about most of the situations we discussed on the blog during EURO games and I must say we were right in almost all cases, as it was always in past for other competitions :)
A big discussion, among others, about the possible penalty in ENG - SCO (Mateu), with some people going crazy there.
Indeed, for UEFA not a penalty, play on!

  7. Daniele Orsato will officiate Milan - Juventus after Serra mistake in Milan - Spezia. Di Bello will work as VAR. Valeri was another candidate for this game, but he has been appointed as VAR in another serie A game.
As big surprise, Serra was appointed again after yesterday, he will be again VAR in a serie B game. Very particular choice by Rocchi, this seems to be a radical change if compared to past, when after very discussed mistakes referees were always suspended at least for a matchday. We will see his next appointments after the international break.

    1. In the match center on fifa.com, e.g.
      https://www.fifa.com/tournaments/womens/womensworldcup/australia-new-zealand2023/qualifiers/afc/match-center/400209689

But seems to be published only for the current day.

    3. Actually I looked and in the match center it only lists the center referee and not the whole crew. Can’t find that anywhere else.

  9. Clip F23;
The penalty given by Makkelie in the semis between England and Denmark has been assess as NO OFFENCE.
At the same time, NO Intervention if penalty kick awarded. So, van Boekel was correct on not recommending a review.
Personally, I feel the VAR protocol isn't right. Soft PK should be worth of a review.

    1. I still don't understand why tge game was not stopped when tgere were 2 balls on field. There were many discussions about this and someone explained that, according to LoTG, the ball didn't influenced the goal, but I completely disagree here. The Danish player had to avoid the second ball imo.
I think the LoTG were misinterpreted here. This rule was made problably in the case when there was a second ball in the other half of pitch, thrown by a coach, a ballboy or something like this. But definetely not in this situation. If you tell me that the Danish player should have gone deliberately to kick the second ball and the game would have been stopped? This is just laughable.

    1. Dear friend, all solutions are in the decision or image filter ... All this if you have downloaded the free ".zip" format.

    2. Hello Rod. You have to unzip the downloaded file and then navigate to: "your download folder"\UEFA-EURO-2020\Resource\medias\images\decisions

    1. So you download the big file here: https://bit.ly/rap-euro-2020. In order to open it, you need to download winrar (or 7zip, both are programs that can do the same. After 'unzipping', you get a normal folder that you can open, unlike with the .zip file. I don't use Mulppy (it costs) to watch the clips. In one window I have the clips, in the other window I have the answers. Both can be found by navigating to \UEFA-EURO-2020\Resource\medias.
