How high the bar for fouls will be today?😆
ReplyDeleteCorrect first YC for Arnautović
ReplyDeleteThis is turning into a real important match for Tantashev. Austria in the lead and going through, Algeria need a goal to stay in the tournament.
ReplyDeleteRelax they will draw by the end
DeleteNo fouls called since YC in min11
ReplyDeletePaying bit more attention to this game now that the other game is pretty much done. Neither of these two teams are aggressive and are just playing football which makes it easier for Tantashev.
ReplyDeleteMaybe faoul before alg goal on the corner
ReplyDeleteKudos for the patient advantage despite a pretty blatant attempt at SPA in the corner leading to the goal for ALG.
ReplyDeleteWould you call for a YC? It was just so blatant and never really intention for playing for the ball but low intensity & never really met criteria for reckless.
DeleteOn the other hand, as advantage played no YC for SPA but I just feel like that was a YC foul (obviously not at this World Cup)
DeleteThat’s a fair question. Given the success of the advantage, the obviousness of it all perhaps flies under the radar and makes it easier to swallow the decision to go w/o it (plus the consistently high foul threshold already applied). I think Tantashev’s course of action in this specific case is certainly supportable and expected.
DeleteAgree with you though, textbook YC in any other scenario (or perhaps tournament).
DeleteGreat advantage played by Tantashev, a clear holding on ALG att leg and then a resulting a goal. Game back at 1-1
ReplyDeleteExcellent advantage before goal for Algeria
ReplyDeleteIts a shame that this game can happen in a World Cup
ReplyDeleteGreat end right, lmao
DeleteJust i say above the game end with draw what shame
