I don't know when we can expect info for Men, we can just wait.
About assistant referees both men and women, new names can't be expected before the publication on FIFA.com starting from 01/01, unluckily this info is difficult to get before that date.
So far, I don't read new women's names for Greece.

    1. Thank you, Chefren.

I only asked because HFF proposed 4 Women referees from Greece.

Antoniou, Tsiofliki, Deligianni and Mylopoulou. The first 3 were already FIFA referees.

    2. Maybe the new name (Anastasia Mylopoulou) will be added later!
This already happened in past. We will see.

    2. Up until yesterday evening (24 hours prior to kick-off), CONCACAF had not published referee assignments. At least not on their website or the competition website. I shared these assignments based on what was listed on the "Soccerway" website today.

    3. Interesting that Steinhaus has been kept on the list, maybe because she will be on VAR list as well? However, I think Franziska Wildfeuer is indeed her replacement.

      Delete
    4. Wildfeuer replacing Steinhaus was also communicated by DFB, so I am also surprised that she still is on the list. Being on the VAR list seems quite possible.

      Delete
    5. Steinhaus has become an official FIFA VAR. Wildfeuer cannot replace Steinhaus at the Elite lrvel. As a new FIFA referee she will start at the bottom. She must first prove her qualifications (with good assessments) at international games before being promoted to elite rank.

  13. Henrikke Nervik promoted to Cat 1.

National referee rankings in Norway have been published: Few changes, apart from the promotion to the 1st division of a big talent with a difficult name: Mathias Stoefringshaug, 24 year old police officer from Verdal.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Is anyone of the recently promoted referees (Amland, Aslam, Grötta) expected to become FIFA in 2020?

Stoefringshaug, a new name to 'monitor' in elitereserien.highlights.no ;)

      Delete
    2. Nothing has been confirmed yet. Svein Oddvar Moen or Tore Hansen or both could (or should, IMO) come off the FIFA list. The problem is that Aslam and Groetta have both underperformed a lot; Groetta has issues with decision making and feeling confident, Aslam has bigger issues IMO; with match control and communication. However, both have improved in the final part of the season.

Amland could be an alternative, but remember, this is his first season in Eliteserien! The only other real alternative is Hobber Nilsen, but he decided to resign from the FIFA list for personal reasons last year.

      Delete
    3. Thanks. Seems that Norwegian refereeing will have to wait some time. I suggested a replacement of Hansen because he got demoted to Third in August and in case of referee over 40 years that often means that he's leaving the list months later.

IIRC, Moen got zero UEFA appointments in 2020, not even a single summer UCL/UEL qualifier match. What a fall from grace, from WC 2014 substitute to Iceland-Finland 2018 WC qualifier... (missed foul by Icelandic striker + worse YC for FIN3 for grabbing him from shirt)

      Delete
    4. I did t even realize Moen was still active, I had figured that he had been retired!

  15. Very interesting VAR intervention from serie A game Verona - Sampdoria:
    https://streamja.com/vVvZ1
When an assistant referee is too close, he can miss such incidents exactly in front of him. Good intervention, but in my opinion, given the situation, AR should have set some priorities in controlling the incident there, and then thinking about the rest.

to the First division two years ago, and everyvody knew that he will get a FIFA bage regardless of his performance. Actually, he never was appointed to the really serious matches.

Now we have two refs in the Second division, whose career will develop in the same way. One of them is the son of FIFA-observer Shmuel Shteif, and another is the son of ex-FIFA assistant Erez Zatelman.

  28. I Finally Got Helped !! I'm so excited right now, I just have to share my testimony on this Forum.. The feeling of being loved takes away so much burden from our shoulders. I had all this but I made a big mistake when I cheated on my wife with another woman and my wife left me for over 4 months after she found out.. I was lonely, sad and devastated. Luckily I was directed to a very powerful spell caster Dr Emu who helped me cast a spell of reconciliation on our Relationship and he brought back my wife and now she loves me far more than ever.. I'm so happy with life now. Thank you so much Dr Emu, kindly Contact Dr Emu Today and get any kind of help you want..
