FIFA Circular for 2022 FIFA Refereeing International Lists

FIFA has published the circular with guidelines to be followed by national federations, for the nominations of FIFA referees since 01/01/2022.

Deadline:
1 October 2021

The proposed referees must be born on or before 31 December 1996 and assistant referees must be born on or before 31 December 1998 in order to ensure a minimum level of experience. FIFA reserves the right to require proposed match officials over the age of 45 (born in 1977 or before) to undergo additional technical assessments as well as specific medical examinations and fitness testing on a case-by-case basis.

Each candidate must be ranked based on the marks obtained for officiating games at national level during the 12 months prior to being nominated to the list of international referees. Please do not put the nominees in alphabetical order.

All nominated match officials (except video match officials) must at least have passed a FIFA approved fitness test and a medical examination on or after 2 June 2021.

  1. It is strange, that Ardeleanu and Rejžek stay on the list, if they were removed from the Czech first League before this seasson…

    2. Sorry, my fault, I did not notice this deadline. So I expect two new names by the Czech commitee for referee list and one new name in assistant referee list, because Blažej was removed too.

    3. @kosino94 Who do you think is more likely to replacce them?

Among the referees who have refereed the biggest number of matches in Fortuna Liga for now, these are the non-FIFA who stand out: Pavel Julinek (1981), Jan Machálek (1986), Tomáš Klíma (1988) and Jan Petřík (1992)

    4. @Quilava: I think Jan Machálek deserves It, his performances are consistently solid. My second choice would be Tomáš Klíma. Pavel Julínek is not bad referee, but he sometimes fails, he had several matches with terrible mistakes in last years, and his age is already 40, so he has small chances. Jan Petřík could be the good option for the furture, but now is still too soon for him in my opinion.

    5. @Quilava: So It seems all the three names will be on FIFA list (Machálek, Klíma, Petřík). Also Zelinka will be removed from FIFA list and It is logical: he is already 40 years old and he would have small chances for any progress.

  3. Why fifa relying 100% on MA Referees committee, most are biased and full of nepotism. Killing talented Referees especially in Africa
