Second game for Wilton Sampaio at 2026 WC, maybe the Brazilian referee will hope for a calmer match this time.

So,we expect small amount of cards cause he does not want the spotlight once again?
ReplyDeleteObviously. I bet for 0 card ^^
DeleteThe way this match is going, could be on
DeleteAnd few fouls
ReplyDeleteWe have to laugh @M and @Law18
ReplyDeleteThe one thing we can say, as @Chefren has stated, Sampaio hoping for a calmer game and this is definitely a very different feeling to his first game or even the ARGvAUT match
So far fouls are Norway 4 and Senegal 1. That puts the over/under at 11.5
ReplyDeleteIn total
DeleteDoes anyone feel here that Sampaio was given an easier game to manage than his first? A very important match in the group with essentially the winner will guarantee the second spot but definitely two teams who lack the aggression.
ReplyDeleteEasy game to manage, not watching closely but seems to have let the game flow, not getting many decisions wrong, no challenges that require disciplinary action or player management and no real KMI to speak of to this point.
Agree. Obvious management by commitee.
DeleteSampaio could not have dreamed of a more straightforward first half. Very football-focused game. Nonetheless, he still showed good positioning and the impressive athleticism, as usual.
ReplyDeleteAgree, you can get a calm fixture but still must technically get your positioning, decisions, management, teamwork areas to focus on.
DeleteYep,but 2nd half could change cause Senegalese are in danger with of being out with 2 defeats so maybe they will start being more and more frustrated.
ReplyDeleteThis is danger zone now for Senegal, goal difference also an issue for them. The question is do they get more desperate with their challenges or do they stretch the game leaving them open at the back to counter attack? I still can’t see the warfare type of games we have seen some of games have descended into with either team.
DeleteMissed penalty for sure, arm to the face in penalty box.
ReplyDeleteImo var is needed.
Looks like nothing in the end.
DeleteImo that was a penalty on 75’
ReplyDeleteThe arm is really extended for me, PK should have been call imo
ReplyDeleteMaybe they didnt want another Sampaio english masterclass🤣
ReplyDelete83’: where is the on-field review for handball before offside?

DeleteMistyped. Meant what the other comments said above.
Deletei misread ur comments
DeleteShould have been a penalty for handball imo in 83‘
ReplyDeleteIt hit the attacker’s own hand.
Deletei think the only reason is that the hand is really close from the ball when the attacker kicked it
DeleteReally? I need to check briefly again.
DeleteAlso hit attacker handball
DeleteGood spot, at a first glance, I missed that.
