Lots of complaints about the movement and positioning in his first match. This will be interesting to see how he goes.
ReplyDeleteFor me to get a second match in MD2, he must have done well to get another appointment. Not a high profile match but lots on the line for these two teams.
Already a fast paced game & played at a cracking pace. Not sprinting around but his fitness seems okay and getting where he needs to be in the first 5’
Great positioning and agility by Vincic so far. Few good moments where he avoided attackers running directly towards him!
ReplyDeletePresence, body language and player management all look good so far, although not much for him to do yet.
Agree, a bit like the last match for Sampaio, both teams accepting the high foul bar and both teams willing to play football rather than battle of attrition. This style of “let the game flow” and “keep the cards in the pocket” style is much better suited to these types of teams.
DeleteI haven’t been watching closely but agree on presence, body language and player management. No real big KMI decisions either thus far.
Clear missed faoul in 34 min
ReplyDeletePotential PK missed before the goal, small contact so probably ok call with the guidelines for this tournament
ReplyDeleteOutside thats why stay silence
DeleteYeah, the replay got me, that was close from an OFR
DeleteYes correct, for this World Cup that decision is supported. Important to note that it was a foul for handling the ball on the ground, not a fall for simulation (hence no YC)
DeleteCorrect yc in 43 min
ReplyDelete44’ correct caution for SPA, although during the tournament we have seen many of these type of tactical fouls not given. In this tournament, I would say that Collina/Busacca would rather no YC be given.
DeleteJordan goal should change the match, maybe stretch the game more and increase the desperation of Algeria
ReplyDeleteEnd of first half, many calls for offside correct by AR1. 45’ correct call for handball for JOR att inside the attacking penalty area and correct advantage played.
