Good early YC for dangerous play by Letexier at 4’.

DeleteCorrect yc in the 4th minute
ReplyDeleteThis is scandalous.
ReplyDeleteSomeone has the balls to show 2 YC's in first 10th minutes!??!
Collina and Busacca are going crazy rn.
And another in 9th.

ReplyDeleteOne YC each team in first 10 minutes. Both correct.
ReplyDeleteAnd again at 9’ with clear foul and arm to the face by Cabo Verde player.
ReplyDeleteNow, second (correct) yc in the 9th minute. This is more in many games in this tournament in 90 minutes
ReplyDelete* More than
DeleteThis is a clear example of excellent game understanding. Letexier shows that you can issue an expected caution early in the match without losing control or disrupting the flow of the game. That has been missing from many referees throughout this tournament. Too often, obvious disciplinary actions have been delayed, creating confusion and forcing referees to react later in the game when the damage has already been done. Bravo, Letexier.
ReplyDeleteNeither team has any strong structure. Always a challenge as it’s nearly impossible to anticipate play. Also prone to lots of high speed contact as play tends to be less compact. An interesting challenge.
ReplyDeleteStressful start for Letexier. Got hit by a ball and only moments later with a slip.
ReplyDeleteTbh, and it's only the start of his game, but probably him and Turpin will probably stop before SF because of the french team and that will be hard for them who probably deserve those type of game
ReplyDeleteNow two hand to face situations on both sides. No cards, but strong warning.
ReplyDeleteThe ability Letexier has to switch from a calming, de-escalating smile to a much firmer show of authority is truly impressive. A real model of player management!
ReplyDeleteMobbed after wrong corner given… no punishment. Changed by VAR. Do players not listen when told what rule changes have been made? Do they not know the laws of the game they play? Obviously the answer is no.
ReplyDeleteMissed YC imo, step on foot
ReplyDeleteTrue
DeleteNot mandatory but could be yes. But this is…this world cup trend…
DeleteThat was a YC for me as well, clear stamp on the foot. Would also be completely consistent with the first two YC he issued.
Delete45+3 make corner signe the ball didnt even be out
ReplyDeleteNot the best way to end the first half.
ReplyDeleteThat’s what I was about to write as well. He could have ended the first half before the pass to the winger or he should have continued to the next neutral moment.
DeleteBefore the pass, time is not at 6. No reason to add 30 s more for another attack here.
DeleteTime is over. As swiss you can understand that ;)
ReplyDelete;)
DeleteAt the end of first half unexpected mistake, one might say, ending half during promising attack
ReplyDeletePromising is a little bit exaggerated. Extra Time is over and SA players are at 50 m from goal…
DeleteClearly promising, a lot of space to start a run and accelerate. Simply not the optimal moment to end the first half. As written above, either one pass earlier or after the particular situation was neutralized.

ReplyDeleteIs not a Mistake, It’s clear Structure to end a game on time for the tournament! Mariani did the same Saudi vs Uruguay game! Ismael Elfath Also did tonight game he didn’t allowed Spain to take corner
DeleteGood game overall, easy game tbh, 1 missed YC but that's it not much to say, good communication and management as always, we will see him further in this tournament and maybe pretending for the biggest one.
ReplyDeleteExcelent referee. He deserve what he get
