  1. One way to avoid dissent is to give the foul and run away up the pitch. An interesting tactic adopted by Al-Jassim so far.

  2. Al-Jassim running away everytime he gives a foul. Quite fun and interesting to watch as a neutral

  3. Seems like a much lower foul threshold by Al-Jassim. As well as running away its the quiet whistle to suggest the fouls aren't significant.

  4. Qatari official lack of communication with the players ,running away will eventually led to a lose of contrl

  5. As I've stated before. England games are easier to referee, he's not going to lose control as it'd not going to be threatened that much

  6. I'm at a loss (not in a bad way) on how to describe that first half performance from Al-Jassim. Okay? Good? Indifferent? I really don't know. Followed the FIFA directive well (central positioning, letting the game flow) but I just found it lacking the WOW factor. Very down the middle and average for me which ist always a bad thing.

  8. Why I feel like every 50\50 call goes England Way! Is it subconsciously thinking, where referees does not want to upset Powerhouse

  9. The blowing the whistle, not signalling, and running away is very Mateu Lahoz esque... Although he understood advantage far better, I think Al Jassim would benefit from delaying his whistle a few times, play doesn't always need to be stopped when in possession!

    1. True - but sometimes a quick whistle nullifies any advantage gained from the foul...

  10. Missed foul for Panama which could have been YC. From same action CK for England and goal after that.

    1. I somewhat agree, maybe borderline dogso so not possible for VAR to intervene

    1. Agree, too many doubts about whether he would control the ball, YC both expected and correct
