Excellent appoint for Abatti. Hope to see big future for him as no 1 from CONMEBOL in years that come. Followed him thorugh tournament, he was always at high level. Congrats to both officials.
ReplyDeleteWell, Eskas over Letexier is interesting for me. Abatti gets the nod (great for him).
ReplyDeleteI'd say then that Olofsson looking good for Gold match on the women's side and Penso for bronze medal.
Both of them each only had one (men’s) game so far in the tournament. Kind of an unlucky circumstance for both of them, I would say, as either could have expected to get 3+ matches. So, at least Eskas gets another chance to show himself, and a reward for a well-called red card in his women’s game. Besides, it would probably mean more to him than it would mean to Letexier, who’s already had a glamorous summer.
DeleteComo brasileiro muito feliz com a nomeação de Ramon Abatti para final. Parabéns pra ele!
ReplyDeleteAnd indeed USA - Brazil in final leaves only Olofsson as option.
ReplyDeleteThe Swedish referee is sure for that appointment, but I would dare to think she could have got it even with different teams involved.
Germany - Spain for third place, both Alves Batista and Penso are possible.
I don't think alves or penso for third place
DeleteThe candidate are Olofsson Yamashita and Garcia
Definitely be a Concacaf appointment
ReplyDeleteFinal likely to be UEFA
ReplyDeleteFinal : Yamashita
ReplyDelete3rd place : Olofsson
Last predicitons
ReplyDeleteGER-ESP: Penso (USA) - Garcia (MEX) - Guzman (NCA), Pacheco (MEX), Muniz (BRA)
USA-BRA: Olofsson (SWE) - Yamashita (JPN) - del Cerro Grande (ESP), Puudom (THA), Brisard (FRA)
Have to agree with that

ReplyDeletePoor foual detection by norvegian and his ar1
ReplyDeleteSo far a rather one-sided game in the full African Bronze Medal, with an overall less challenging match for the Norwegian referee, than one could have expected. Nevertheless, starting from the 30th minute of first half, game turned into a more challenging one.
ReplyDeleteIn the 40' minute a player from Egypt after a possible foul by opponent deliberatley rejoined again the field to catch attention, under the eyes of fourth official Letexier. Should have been clearly booked for this unsporting behavior.
To me, this game wouldn't have suited to Eskas style, in case of open tie and I think he was rather lucky that so far things went quite well, but yes, it's good if a referee is challenged.
Second half will be more physical
