From the games I watched so far, it was the first one to start on time
ReplyDeleteClear YC,but surprised given the fact that leniency is best policy.
ReplyDelete12' YC to Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo protests against referee.
ReplyDeleteCorrect decision, it was a reckless challenge.

DeleteYC given to Portugal player. For me it's in the "orange" category.
ReplyDeleteVery good decision for YC!
ReplyDeleteFinally correct early yc
ReplyDeleteOh for god sake ! Thanks you to Al-Jassim to assume immediatly a YC which is MANDATORY but very rare in this World cup ! Well done !
ReplyDeleteWrong yellow card for Mbemba, foul should have gone the other way. Why no VAR review?
ReplyDeleteOnly for incorrect 2YC's
DeleteDisagree. Good YC for for excessive arm use.
DeleteYC issued to DR Congo player either for reckless use of the arm or pull of the jersey. I'm not too sure.
ReplyDeleteAnd now again YC that was mandatory.
ReplyDeleteYesterday similar foul happened in Marciniak 's match and no card was shown.
Soft yc now
ReplyDeleteSecond YC of the game, reckless challenge, in this case I think it was rather a mistake by referee, it was a careless action with arm for me, nothing more.
ReplyDeleteBTW it's a surprise that this approach, at least so far, comes from the most unexpected referee, it's definitely strange if you ask me.

DeleteClueless 2nd yellow. Neto clearly fouled the defender first
ReplyDeleteGood first half by Al Jassim. Two YC (one Perhaps soft but never wrong IMO) and good foul detection in general.
ReplyDeletePortugal protesting on everything. They want an OFR now for unknown reasons (no offside).
ReplyDeleteI think hes been excellent in the 1st half, very pleasantly surprised by this referee. If he keeps this up he will be one to watch later in the tournament
ReplyDeleteThe second half will determine for me what kind of performance Al Jassim leaves as his legacy in his first game. Expect Portugal to protest a lot more (if result isn't going their way) and generally expect a tougher test for the Qatari who has produced an acceptable first half performance. Setting his stall out early with a correct YC (crystal clear) and then following it up with consistent foul detection and level of contact. The YC for the DR Congo player from me wasn't required but not a major error as it is supportable (to an extent). Good first half and hopefully it continues.
ReplyDeleteFirst watching Al Jassim and liked what I saw in 1st half
ReplyDeleteThe same here.
DeleteAnd now he does the new law on time wasting.... very good
ReplyDeleteMissed foul on 58'
ReplyDeleteAnother missed foul at 67'
ReplyDeleteVery good management of the little confrontation between two opponents with very good alertness of Abongile, the fourth official. Authority and calmness
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of playing "advantage" on offside decisions as in 84'
ReplyDeleteRefreshing refereeing by Al Jassim with strict disciplinary line and a third justified YC. Praise his performance.
