Missed YC for Pacho on 24’ + poor positioning
ReplyDeletePotential YC SPA just before the hydration break?
ReplyDeleteNow a strong YC each for both teams. 2x SPA in very short time.
ReplyDeleteHe’s having a great first half. Fully in control. Second half will be good to watch as it will get more intense
ReplyDeleteBlatant show of dissent last action before half time!! Really bad to not caution here
ReplyDeleteSame player correctly given a YC on 56’
DeleteCorrect YC 53’
ReplyDeleteAnother correct caution 56’
ReplyDeleteI haven’t been playing too much attention to the game, just catching glimpses of it. Seems like a cracking game, haven’t noticed too many missed fouls but one of these games where the refereeing seems to enhance the game, not overly authoritative but not so passive like in the previous CIV v Ger game
ReplyDeleteVery good by ma Ning
ReplyDeletegood advantage for curacao, then correct YC to Curacao #3, 75'
ReplyDeletenow no penalty for ecu 76', missed the replay, but looked at least supportable (?) live
ReplyDeleteTwo incorrect corner kicks that were changed to goal kicks. Now missed corner kick
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly(?) good performance by Ma Ning. His presentation in 1st half was not well accepted by players, but he gained their acceptance in 2nd half with his technical accuracy and consistency.
ReplyDeletepotential pk at 94', really close call
ReplyDeletevery similar to the one in the 76th min
DeleteHe got all the critical decisions right in a pretty intense game that could have spiraled out of control if not officiated well. Kept control well overall
ReplyDeleteOkay performance in a non-challenging game. No problems and no big issues.
ReplyDeleteHowever, AFC referees showed their deficiencies again. VAR delayed a couple of times for nothing. It seemed like they were the ones who are delaying the restart. From one replay it's clear. But I guess we can't blame the VAR as it was his first WC match.
In addition, many times the positioning of the referee was questionable. He almost got hit by a shot from just the edge of the penalty arc while being inside the area! Very weird.
Totally solid performance. Feels like the classic 2026 performance. Let the match flow and never became a center of attention.
ReplyDeleteGlad the VAR didn’t send him to the monitor for 94’ incident. Pretty sure he saw it as not enough contact and attacker instigated.
