Surprised that they chose blue kit for this game. I think red would have been more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteBut the red is actually orange and therefore maybe as close to yellow than the light blue kit is to Scotland's dark blue kits.
DeleteOt: some refs are watching the game in the stadium.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or how is that a foul?
ReplyDeleteSco player kicks Vini and they whistle against Bra?
Interesting VAR intervention to say the least
ReplyDeleteOMG can we have a good announcement
ReplyDeleteWrong VAR-intervention
ReplyDeleteWe couldn't hear the ref again :/
ReplyDeleteSilence and then "cancel the goal is the final decision"
DeleteOnce again, simple solution give back the ability to the center referee to push a button for talking.
DeleteGoal disallowed after OFR. Looks soft but he puts his foot in front of Hendry attempting to pass the ball
ReplyDeleteMindblowing decision, that was never a foul.
ReplyDeletethat's an interesting VAR intervention, change of guidelines after some difficult game ?
ReplyDeleteAwful announcement and soft decision
ReplyDeleteI don’t understand this call. Never a clear and obvious mistake. One can argue Vinicius simply arrived first then the scottish player
ReplyDeleteNonsense, he kicks his leg first
DeleteHonestly pathetic doesnt even begin to sum up that decision. What a shambles
ReplyDeleteI seem to recall a similar foul being given by Lahoz after OFR in a Rangers v Dortmund Europa League game a few years ago
ReplyDeleteAnd in an Old Firm game
DeleteSo we let a huge foul from behind go unpunished to preserve Argentina’s 1–0 lead, and then we disallow Brazil’s 2–0 goal for this tiny foul (which is questionable anyway, because on the latest replays it actually looks like the Scottish player kicks Vinícius’s foot, not the other way around). Where’s the logic in that, exactly? Is it just down to the VAR’s whim?
ReplyDeleteYes, it seems that way. There is no consistency on what is a foul, or what is worthy of intervention in this tournament. Chefren makes that point of different VARs having different bars for intervention regularly, but this seems well below the usual clear and obvious
DeleteErro grave de Cesar ramos não foi nada que erro inacreditável pra um arbitro vergonhoso .
ReplyDeleteDefender kick attacker leg!! Is not foul and how is Var intervene is ref did not call ? Where is high var intervention where talking about yesterday penalty against Ghana?
ReplyDeleteAttacker tripped the defender and disrupted his kick to the goalkeeper.
DeleteWhilst I agree with the OFR, it makes that no penalty call yesterday even more ridiculous
DeleteTechnically correct to call a foul here, sure.
DeleteConsistent with the rest of the tournament and especially the England Ghana no OFR, absolutely not.
For me, obvious foul. Nice review by VAR.
ReplyDeleteWe are witnessing the rules being torn up right before our eyes. I am disappointed.
ReplyDeleteBad call to review by VAR. Poor decision by Ramos. Light contact. If it had happened in midfield, would he have considered it a foul? No
ReplyDeleteI don't think VAR should have intervened. Either decision on field could have been supported.
ReplyDelete100% agree
DeleteConcordo plenamente arbitragem desastrosa .
DeleteGood spot by VAR, the replay afterwards from the left side behind the goal shows the contact more clearly.
ReplyDeleteAlso the referees should really just do the "cutting the grass" with arms signal for a no goal.
Its an interesting intervention though, considering how many much stronger fouls havent been punished so far in the tournament.
DeleteYou must be a comedian with an argument like that. Hahaha.
DeleteSe ele continuar assim vai perder que desastre .
ReplyDeleteWhat even is happening with VAR at this WC? I don’t remember all of this happening in ‘22 (or even ‘18). They’ve also dug themselves in a hole with this “high threshold” (read: non-existent line).
ReplyDeleteSorry but Ramos is out of his performance. How on earth can he decide goal kick here ? Unbelievable mistake !
ReplyDeleteHow can this clown miss the corner in 36. Honestly open your eyes
ReplyDeleteIf Ramos was one of the favorites to referee the final, well, he isn’t anymore!
ReplyDeleteCollina ought to come out and make a statement regarding what we witnessed in this first half.
ReplyDeleteIt is not merely a technical error; it is an insult to one's conscience.
The VAR intervention is interesting in the sense that the right decision has been reached but it's not consistent with the high bar for intervention. There is contact from the attacker on the defender immediately prior to the attacking opportunity and subsequent goal. But the contact is minor/minimal and given under non interventions we've seen it does seem a bit out of the norm to intervene.
ReplyDeleteSo no VAR Check at 54´ ? Sorry but I don’t understand the trend. And again no replays ! This is quite doubtful of FIFA management…
ReplyDeletethat's a lack of consistency, if disallowed the BRA goal than you should call it PK
DeleteCartão exagero do Danilo muito exagerado .
ReplyDeleteCertainly could have been a 2YC
ReplyDeleteWith the match nearing its end and the result already decided, a statement from Collina is expected, as well as the removal of Ramos and his compatriot from the remainder of the World Cup. VAR cannot be used to recommend a review of an error.
ReplyDeleteOkay mate
DeleteDo you also want Ramos to be drawn and quartered and Collina to walk the plank?
DeleteWith a handwritten apology from Gianni Infantino?
That's fine. No problem. If you think Ramos won't be sanctioned, that's your opinion.
DeleteCan’t quite understand some of the comments in regards the performance. The Var call saw the attacker have an impact on the defender ability to play the ball. Not easy to spot on field so intervention correct. Plus we don’t know the communication. Yes some errors, clear corner, hands up if never you have done this. Assuming you know how to whistle. Not a perfect performance but overall Ramos did well. Allowed the match to flow. Very few complaints from players etc
ReplyDeleteThis blog is such a positive thing that is destroyed every single time a big tournament arrives, due to trolls and users that don’t even contribute to anything. These trolls take time out of their days to write fake information such as that referees will be removed from the tournament and that Collina will hold press conferences because they don’t like a decision that has been made. We can all comment silly things sometimes but most of these comments can’t be justified and it’s frustrating they can’t be deleted. I would hope that people that have no evidence to back their information will stop stating false things and use the time they are taking up to write proper contributions and this blog would be brilliant. Come on guys!
ReplyDeleteI think Ramos had a good game and that the VAR intervention was correct but I can understand the debate because there’s no consistency in this tournament in terms of these interventions.
Now let’s enjoy Argentina put on a show in group A. Good luck to Facundo and Yael.
DeleteSorry, I strongly disagree. Wrong VAR intervention, because only soft contact before goal and no clear mistake of rrnamentthe referee at all. Disallowing the goal after visiting the monitor makes it even worse.
ReplyDeleteGenerally again a bad performance, no clear and consistent foul detection, no authority and acceptance, he should not get any more games in this tournament.
