  1. Very long path for Lindhout development, more than expected promotion to Category 1 for him in all cases (NED = 0 Category 1 referees at moment).
The focus on Kikacheishvili seems to have clear origins as well with the performances shown at Under 19 tournament.
Bel is coming from the U17 tournament, while less "explanations" for Bogár, maybe a name for the future.

    1. Bogár, Bel and Lindhout are part of the talent & mentor group :)

    2. Then I expect names like Nobre, Saggi or Verboomen for 2nd legs. I'd also say Xhaja if he didn't have Nations League game already.

  2. Are these referees on the Talents & Mentors program?

    1. Regarding Croatian referees. Dario Bel is in talent and mentor programme and Ante Culina is in UEFA Core. Both Bel and Culina have the same mentor - IMO one of the greatest referees of his time Viktor Kassai. Culina has already officiated a match in Bulgarian first division where Kassai is Head of Refereeing.

    2. Croatia also sent young Patrik Kolarić to an exchange in Cyprus, didn't watch the game but according to CFA refereeing board weekly review (i.e. Mazić) he gave two wrong PKs :/ (none of them was sent to OFR, which were deemed mandatory)

    3. Quilava, do you have link of CFA weekly review

    5. Well, Croatian committee concluded that Chrysovalantis Theouli gave a wrong pk in Croatian league and that VAR should have intervened. So this collaboration started very well :D

    6. Agree with the evaluations that Kolarić ought to have played on in all three cases but interesting that they note Pejin should have intervened against the two penalties given: these are CLEAR(!) decisions to be supported by VAR in UEFA. It shows the nonsense between trying to equate the same refereeing policy in 'entertainment football' (eg. CL, PL, BL) to countries like Cyprus, or indeed most other European countries, where their focus on officiating/scandals is laser-sharp.

Very good remark Anon 01:39 :D. Do you have link to Theouli incident/evaluation?

    7. Here:
      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C6at68Rnix0
      1:20 1st pk
      4:48 2nd pk

The first one assesed as a clear mistake because the defender play the ball clearly and then there is a contact later.

  3. With the UEFA U19 Championship Qualifiers commencing this Wednesday (September 21-27), will there be posts on the match official appointments for those ties?
