    2. I want to thank Dr Emu a very powerful spell caster who help me to bring my husband back to me, few month ago i have a serious problem with my husband, to the extend that he left the house, and he started dating another woman and he stayed with the woman, i tried all i can to bring him back, but all my effort was useless until the day my friend came to my house and i told her every thing that had happened between me and my husband, then she told me of a powerful spell caster who help her when she was in the same problem I then contact Dr Emu and told him every thing and he told me not to worry my self again that my husband will come back to me after he has cast a spell on him, i thought it was a joke, after he had finish casting the spell, he told me that he had just finish casting the spell, to my greatest surprise within 48 hours, my husband really came back begging me to forgive him, if you need his help you can contact him with via email: Emutemple@gmail.com or add him up on his whatsapp +2347012841542 is willing to help any body that need his help.

  2. Seems like Committee was very unhappy with Marciniak's last performances because it is now obvious he is suspended for first two matchdays. It will be interesting to see how will Committee treat him in the following matchdays - will he get Europa League match or some "low profile" Champions League match like Cakir last year after his suspension.
It was reported last week in Croatian media that Bebek is appointed this week in Europa League maybe COVID reasons - could be that Schärer is replacing him.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I really hope not, it would be terrible because Bebek officiated a match this weekend. And Dinamo is in EL...

      Delete
    2. I don't think Covid is reason. In next matchday in Croatian Prva HNL, Bebek and his ARs for UEFA matches are appointed.

      Delete
    3. Yes Bebek is appointed this weekend but as VAR. I don't know what happened then? Maybe it was wrongly reported that he is appointed, maybe he is appointed for Matchday 3?

    1. My friend, Poland has 1 Elite referee and FOUR (!) First group referees (Gil, Raczkowski, Frankowski and Stefanski).

What are you talking about? Lots of non-big 5 federations wish they had so many referees there.

      Delete
    2. No a ilu z nich jest powoływanych?Gil głownie jako Var a pozostali sporadycznie na nieznaczące gry grupowe...

    3. It is a very harsh decision by committee to rule Marciniak out from MD1 and MD2 in both CL and EL, I agree, but the mistake he made in Sweden - France was really something impossible to explai. An Elite referee in front of such scene must immediately send off the player.
However, given that committee is really flexible and the very particular situation of this group stage, I expect him on next week for MD3, then when European cups will resume after November's break, he could get two assignments. I wouldn't be so desperate regarding his treatment.

    4. Mysle ze gdyby komisja byla sprawiedliwa w dwie strony to po meczu Francja-Chorwacja Bjorn tez nie powinien dostac powołania bo byl akurat w tych zawodach słaby a jednak dostał az 2 powołania i to do CL

  5. Filip Glova and Hugh Dallas?

    1. He seems to be on focus by committee after two EL group stage assignments on last season, EURO UNDER 19 in Armenia last year, some Nations League clashes...

  6. Eber Aquino from Parguay and Andrés Rojas from Colombia will handle the King's Cup Semifinals in Saudi Arabia today. I am hoping somebody with a better grasp of Arabic than me can translate the full appointments :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. Guadalupe Porras Ayuso has also a Women's EURO qualifying game today, 48 hours before Europa League assignment... "classic management" by RFEF-CTA.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No one else is available, as English assigners would say:)

  8. Who was the best in colombia oscar ruiz or cadena torres or wilmar roldan ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Totally different times, difficult to compare. In terms of performance, Torres Cadena reached World Cup semi-finals in 1994.

      Delete
    2. Well, WC 1994 was rather weird with respect to referee appointments: Philip Don from England, for example, was promoted to the FIFA list only two years ago and handled just three UEFA Champions League matches, amongst them the final 1994.

      Delete
    3. Agree Peter but Don was a replacement of John Blankenstein, first referee appointed who was dismissed on the match probably because of his coming out...

      Delete
    4. Weird or not, Don got a Champions League final and a World Cup quarter-final in 1994, which are important achievements. Same as the World Cup semi-final for Torres Cadena. Ruiz never reached that level and Roldan did not come even close.

  9. Good appointment also for Stavrev.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm impressed to see two of the younger premier league officials taking center stage

    ReplyDelete
  11. Srdjan Jovanovic and his team replaces Mykola Balakin and his team in Feyenoord-Wolfsberger AC. Thorsten Schiffner will be AR2 in Stavrev's team.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Do you know why Aliyar Aghayev (Azerbaijan) Group 1 Ref didn't get any appointment on MD1 and 2?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually interesting ,Aliyar Aghayev really good prospective referee But as I know Aghayev has not any support from his committee because now the chairman of Azerbaijan Referees Fritz Stuchlik from Austria . As A Referee I do not know about Stuchlik but as a person I do not think he is beeing respected in Europe ,so it means he can not help Aliyar Aghayev . I think Federation has to think about Stuchlik because almost more than 2 years he is wasting a time of Aghayev

      Delete
    2. Thank you very much for the information.

      Delete
    3. Stuchlik was fired by OFB a few years ago, but he gets good appointments as observer from UEFA. I do not know whether there is any personal conflict between him and Aghayev, but a referee's career should not depend on another person's reputation.

      Delete
  13. It is reported that all three Balakin and his assistant referees were tested positive to Coronavirus, and so they were replaced. It should be the first case of a referee DIRECTLY positive and then replaced.
As I reported before, the other replacements were only because officials had been in contact with other positive people.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sad! I was looking forward to observe him, he looks promising.

      Delete
    2. Referee: Mykola Balakin (UKR) NEGATIVE
Assistant Referee 1: Andrii Skrypka (UKR) POSITIVE
Assistant Referee 2: Semen Shlonchak (UKR) POSITIVE

      Delete
    3. Thanks, so the news reported was partially wrong.

      Delete
  14. Guida's trio with both assistant referees regularly appointed in serie A (Guida VAR). I'm really sorry that he had to renounce to CL game.

  18. 2 penalty awarded by Jovanović. 1 very soft a the 2nd a schwalbe. Very bad start of the Serbian team

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Both situations are correctly perceived as trips by Jovanović IMO (try running with your legs clipped like that!) - though the second situation should have resulted in a freekick, not a penalty (DOGSO?).

      Delete
    2. "Schwalbe" is a German term for simulation/dive.

      Delete
    3. Sorry Mikael, after seeing replay’s from different angles I can’t see any tripping or foul in both situations. So two times simulation and crucial mistakes.

The body language of Jovanovic isn’t helping him aswell. It looks uncertain to me. Not as a ref who is 100% sure of his decision.

      Delete
    4. The second is not a trip but clear simulation... Whatsup with VAR project in Europa League??

  19. Penalty given by Lechner to Leicester was more of a dive for my taste.

    1. Simulation, in my opinion.

    2. There's a contact without doubt but I think Vardy exaggerates it.

    3. IMO no penalty, but there is a contact. I wouldn't call it a crucial mistake.

    4. No penalty. I agree with Chefren

  20. IMO correct PK by Schärer for Hoffenheim

  21. Correct YC by Özkahya in Milan - Sparta Praha.

    ReplyDelete
  22. IMO wrong PK by Stavrev, it was a free-kick.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Two correct penalties awarded by Schärer: first one for trip (IMO missed a YC as it was DOGSO-attempt), second one for handball (harsh for my taste but surely correct in UEFA). Not much challenged apart from those incidents.

  24. Both penalties Wolfsberger wrong!

    ReplyDelete
  25. About the penalty given by Lechner - it is not a 'cut-and-dry' case of attacker instigating the contact (=> simulation) as it looks. Leicester player is already stumbling after a trip from an AEK defender (https://imgur.com/a/ysLpb3Y), before the attacker performs his 'trick' of kicking the goalkeeper and falling.

Very tricky! This is why observers with the benefit of a debrief have an advantage over 'us' :)

  26. Missed offside by AR2 in Feyenoord-Wolfsberger?

  27. Excellent onside by AR1 before Rasgrad Goal.

  28. Now 3rd wrong penalty and missed penalty feyenoord by Jovanović...I think he is drunk?totally crazy

    1. This one was definitely a penalty though. The keeper goes into that challenge knee first

  30. I can't believe what Jovanović is doing tonight

    ReplyDelete
  31. UEFA should investigate on this game in Rotterdam.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Disgraceful performance of Jovanovic in Rotterdam! Every crucial 50/50 decision goes in favour of the Austrian, far and far away from Elite level.

    1. All penaltys are correct, what are you talking about?

    3. IMO 1st and 3rd PKs are correct, 2nd one looks like a dive for me.

    4. Really agree with Quilava on this one.

    1. For me it wasn't deliberate, defender dived in block, arm stayed below him. Correct decision for 2nd YC and a PK.

  38. Rosetti should be very happy: good performance by Mariani in an easy-going match, with no controversy, so no one will talk about refereeing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sorry, but I simply can't see a scandalous performance at all from Jovanović. Two of the three penalties given are correct (other one was just outside), and the situation where Feyenoord wanted a penalty in the second half was a clear dive (defender pulls his leg away, swan dive from the attacker). If I may say so, I think some readers are watching through orange-tinted glasses.

    1. I am totally neutral in this one but for me both Wolfsberger's penalties were really soft if there was any contact then it was minimal. And I am still not sure about even slightest contact after watching replays several times.

      Delete
    2. All penaltys coreect but we can discuss about second one if it was inside or outside..

      Delete
    3. My opinion:

      1st penalty: Correct
      2nd penalty: Dive
3rd penalty: GK cleared the ball but goalkeepers shouldn't be encourage to go with knees ahead, I'd support it.

      Didn't watch Feyenoord PK claim.

      Delete
    4. JOVANOVIC’s performance was fully analyzed on Serbian TV from Zdravko Jokic, UEFA referee observer. He said that first and third penalty were correct (third due to knee offense and intensity), and about second that he doesn’t see the contact (but if there is contact it is inside). He said that Jovanović was far away from the action. About Feyenoord goal - the decision from AR2 was correct: the player “offside” was behind the GK (so didn’t distract him) and when the ball went in, he was already behind goal line. So, the goal should stand.

      Delete
    5. Mr. Jokić is incorrect concerning the second penalty - you can see the moment of the contact here.

      https://imgur.com/a/PVcwGyJ

      Delete
    6. Sorry Mikael, but from that angle you can’t tell. There can still be space in between the players. Unfortunately i don’t have a link but saw totally no contact there. The attacker makes it look like it,because he leaves his foot for a moment hanging. Absolutly a simulation.

Penalty appeal of feyenoord correctly rejected. But would have supported this one if he had given it. In line with the ver very light foul of the first austrian penalty. Where I don’t see contact but haven’t seen the correct angle yet. So remains a mistake to my opinion.

Third penalty correct. GK shouldn’t be there and no need to use the knee in this way.

So overall two mistakes who are crucial for this match.

    7. I think Jokic is no longer UEFA referee observer (retired due to age?); otherwise an active referee observer is not allowed to make public comments about UEFA matches.

Although Peljto is going to educations and trainings, that could be the reason why he won't do CL.

    3. You are right, I forgot the issue with VAR.

      Delete
    4. Penalty is fully correct, however I think RC was harsh. It is reckless not DOGSO.

      Delete
    5. IMO, it is DOGSO, without the foul, the attacker could have controlled the ball better. However also an attempt to play the ball, therefore still a YC.
But assessing it as SFP is at least not clearly wrong, I think.

Interesting that at first glance Collum was clearly going with a YC then he stopped his action to show it and he waited.
Advice by Fourth Official or Assistant Referee 1.
I think the challenge is very dangerous, but as it seems there isn't almost any contact... more YC for me. However, for sure YC because it was dangerous. This wasn't an assessmeny made by Collum, but suggested by another official, in my opinion.

      Delete
    7. I think the fact that it looks like it was studs to the Achilles tendon that red is the correct card. Unless there is a replay that shows no studs to the Achilles I don't think there is enough to say it's a wrong call

      Delete
    8. Agree with wwjd. On live, clear red card. Not an obvious mistake. Clearly very dangerous ! But with VAR, definitively OFR needed and perhaps corrected only with YC as Chefren said...

      Delete
    9. IMO a YC would be better, because there is almost no contact, however RC isn't a crucial mistake for me.

  49. Interesting situation in Real Sociedad - Napoli, minute 86'.
Disallowed goal because Pawson detected a double touch by a free kick taker, he slipped during the kick. Very rare to notice that, I must praise Pawson.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hm, also a possible explanation, but I don't really see that double touch.

      Delete
    2. OK, in a further replay it could be seen. Well done in that case - and he didn't even directly look at it...

      Delete
    3. Indeed replay showed that Pawson was not looking at the player, so two explanations:
      1) he perceived that afterwards by intuition
      2) report by assistant referee

      Delete
  50. Interesting disallowed goal by Pawson (86') - probably for not respecting the distance to the wall at a free kick.

    1. And this one @Frenchref?

      https://streamable.com/tkosdl

      86' possible PK
or DFK and 2nd caution for Benfica defender.

For referee only DFK and no caution...

      Delete
    2. Tight situation. Without VAR and possible help of another member of ref’s team, very difficult to assess. So supportable call by Letexier.
Concerning YC, as isolated action, perhaps possible but in this match, not necessary to exclude the player for that. Score was made. Almost no reaction of belgian players. I guess Koukoulakis will be happy of the management here.

      Delete
    3. The (2nd) caution for me is not mandatory, but the foul was inside the penalty area. Notice where the leg of the defender lands on the ground. This line of the penalty area is the sole responsibility of the referee, so in my opinion his anticipation/positioning is not optimal in order to have an accurate assessment of inside/outside.

      Delete
    4. Former WC final referee Webb keeps preaching that, in such situations, if the referee is in doubt, he should award a DFK rather than a PK.

      Delete
    5. Could very well be, but my point is that when in a better position there will be no (or less) doubt and that should have resulted in a correct decision.

      Delete
    6. IMO very diffcult to assess and FK is probably the better choice, when he is in doubt, but after seeing the pictures one have to admit that this is a penalty.

Apart from that, one mandatory YC missed (reckless stamp of #11LCH, 31') and solid performance overall in what was a rather easy game for the referee. I liked how Tohver communicates with players in an elegant manner, with full respect but also arousing respect.

Beyond that, I'm left to wonder how low and undemanding the physical standards must be for PGMOL referees. A PGMOL that employs Atkinson, Jon Moss and those you listed. And who in the past had fitness stars like Phil Dowd and Alan Wiley.
