New UEFA referees for 2019
Thank to http://kronikasedziowska.blogspot.com
Please clickhere to find the list of new UEFA referees called for the 28th Introductory Course for International Referees in Lisbon, 27-30 January 2019.
New names from Belgium replacing Delferière and Vertenten. The new Czech should replace Prihoda (1974). Denmark: Michael Tykgaard out? José Luis Munuera Montero takes the place of Fernández Borbalán. Stegemann for Gräfe. Fabbri and Mariani in, Mazzoleni and Banti out. Another revolution in Greece, Edward and Greek readers can say more. The new Portuguese should replace either Capela or Xistra. Any news? Who is the Russian referee retiring from FIFA? For Serbia, Grujić again out? Kaspar Sjöberg for Jonas Eriksson who retired. Who is the Turkish out? Thanks for those who will answer to some of these questions. Hopefully we will have soon the complete UEFA lists for each country and maybe the new categories.
At first, thank you for the list and the categories.
Not really a revolution in Greece.
Mantalos and Aretopoulos were taken off both the Superleague and FIFA list. They both were 38 and stuck on UEFA's Third Group. They had no chance of promotion so the choice was logical.
Kalogeropoulos was also taken off the list but this story is weird. He appeared "injured" for the 2nd half of the Greek season but that's the official statement. He was on the 2nd Group and at the age of 35. So, an illogical decision.
The 3 new FIFA referees have only 1.5 year on the top division here. They don't have any Greek derby until now so I can't tell how far they will go on the UEFA level.
I am, however, surprised not to see a new womam referee. After the fiasco last year with Tsaganou, I expected Greece to have a 3rd name.
Grujic will stay on the list. Bojan Nikolic will lose his badge, Djokic maybe too but if Mazic will continue for another 2 years then he'll stay. What about ARs?
Dragan Petrović (BIH), Irakli Kvirikashvili (GEO) and Mykola Kryvonosov (UKR) were initially included in the 2018 list but due to unknown reasons they were erased.
You forgot Gal Leibovitz from Israel who replaces Liran Liany. About Kryvonosov (UKR), he failed his English test and therefore was erased. Probably, now he passed this test successfully.

Zurich - AEK Larnaca 61' clear SFP looking at the hitting point, otherwise one can have the perception of a reckless challenge, with VAR in Champions League I think that such fouls will be reviewed. 35' not sure as the ball is partially hiding the contact, no evidence that it was reckless so NO CARD can be OK.
Qarabag - Sporting Lisbon 4' Never penalty, a harsh referee can issue YC for simulation, missed cooperation by AAR1, in this case referee has not many faults from his position, he has the perception of a clear penalty 43' YC, that's the minimum you can issue...
Fenerbahce - Dinamo Zagreb 38' I think the player who made the foul deserved YC, but then appropriate management of the dissent by teammate, mandatory YC
Salzburg - Leipzig 9' Mandatory YC there, Grinfeld with a long communication with players there.
Vorskla - Arsenal 26' Definitely a crucial mistake, not a penalty, normal contact between two players.
Real Betis - Olympiacos 17' Correct penalty for holding and YC #2 Maybe not a simulation but a situation in which you can play on, attacker was aware that he could have easily created a contact there. When I don't see a very clear responsibility by defenders, I tend do agree with such decisions taken by some referees.
Rangers - Villarreal Well, at the end one can accept most of the decisions but surely Jug made a big confusion, being not so mch focused on the game. About the possible SPA in 75', indeed for me no YC, it wasn't a promising attack. At the end a clear SFP during final whistle.
Standard Liege - Sevilla 33' Correct decision, close to RC for violent conduct 38' soft YC 63' clear YC 67': that's clearly a SFP, straight RC for me
Anders Poulsen lost his FIFA badge in Denmark. Pechanek replaces Radek Prihoda in Czech Republic, Rauf Jabarov replaces Omar Pashayev due to health problems in Azerbaijan and Neokleous and Sotiriou replace Trattou and Massias in Cyprus.
In Iceland Helgi Mikael Jónsson is the new FIFA ref instead of Thoroddur Hjaltalin.
OT @pita falta Obrenovic is going to officiate Youth League Inter vs PSV Eindhoven Tuesday 11 December, 2018 https://www.nzs.si/novica/Obrenovic_in_Kajtazovic_na_mladinski_ligi_prvakov?id=48085&id_objekta=40
About Serbia, I remember the referee who officiated U21 Italy - Belgium friendly, Novak Simović, but it seems as only Miloš Đorđić will join the list...
Probably they wanted to remove Bojan Nikolic and Djokic/Grujic to replace with Novak Simovic and Milos Djordjic but seems like Mazic had a word to keep more Djokic on the FIFA list since in my opinion he didnt improved at all while Grujic became really good referee and improved so much in the last 2 years.
New names from Belgium replacing Delferière and Vertenten.
ReplyDeleteThe new Czech should replace Prihoda (1974).
Denmark: Michael Tykgaard out?
José Luis Munuera Montero takes the place of Fernández Borbalán.

António Nobre goes to the place of Carlos Xistra

Serbia should have 2 new male and 1 female FIFA referee. I don't know why only one name is on the male list.
DeleteChefren, Grujic will 99% stay on the list. Nikolic and Djokic are in danger to lose their badge
Grujic will stay on the list. Bojan Nikolic will lose his badge, Djokic maybe too but if Mazic will continue for another 2 years then he'll stay.

DeleteGod bless Transfermarkt.
DeleteYou forgot Gal Leibovitz from Israel who replaces Liran Liany.
DeleteAbout Kryvonosov (UKR), he failed his English test and therefore was erased. Probably, now he passed this test successfully.
Interesting, so very likely the referees who were not confirmed as FIFA in 2018 and now will "try again", failed the English exam.
DeleteIndeed, it was reported in Bosnian media that Petrović was not accepted due to language problems in 2018. Now, after half a year, we know the reasons.

Thank you, hopefully the health problems for Pashayev are not serious!
DeleteHämäläinen replaces Jari Järvinen in Finland.
ReplyDeleteAnd what is with assistent refeere list? Assistent was not referee? nothing about team work, team-mate?
ReplyDeleteOT @pita falta Obrenovic is going to officiate Youth League Inter vs PSV Eindhoven Tuesday 11 December, 2018 https://www.nzs.si/novica/Obrenovic_in_Kajtazovic_na_mladinski_ligi_prvakov?id=48085&id_objekta=40
ReplyDeleteThanks Andreja for the news. I'm glad to see Rosetti using Rade in Italy. He could be viewed by Alfredo Trentalange !!!! Rade is the future.
DeleteNo, I read now that he won't be seen by Trentalange.
DeleteTrentalange very likely is in UAE for CWC.

DeleteIn the next 2 years i expect Milos Milanovic(26y) to replace Mazic. Very talented referee.
