  1. Maybe last UEFA games for Schörgenhofer and Bezborodov? Any news from Russia and Austria?

    1. Regarding Schörgenhofer I don't think so. He will continue in Austrian Bundesliga as well as in UEFA. I expect to see him again in the UEL Group Stage, then we will see in winter.

    2. No news from Russia regarding Bezborodov. He was very active last season with 24 appointments in RPL in 30 matchdays.

  2. With Collum on tour, Madden to EURO u21, maybe another appointment to follow (Dallas?) I can imagine there are not much left. And after all, it's the same country.
And don't forget, Kralovec always had a Slovakian assistant. And the refs from Kosovo one from Albania.

  3. Good appointment for Higler. Nice to see Nijhuis as fourth official, that's a while ago for him.

  4. OT: Stéphanie Frappart promoted in Ligue 1. Congrats!

    1. Jérémie Pignard too. Any demotions?

    2. I heard about Rainville but nothing official.

    3. If Frappart official then in case also all the other movements should be official I guess?

    4. French federation released a statement only about Pignard's and Frappart's promotions.

    5. Thanks for explanation. I think it was also deliberate choice to announce that the exact day of Women World Cup's start.

  5. Croatia vs Tunisia friendly tommorow. Referee?

  6. The reason is that for UEFA qualifiers (both for Euro and WC) all the four officials on the pitch must be FIFA listed, differently from club competitions. This is because games are important for qualification.

  7. Seems like a crucial mistake by Collum's team, regular goal disallowed due to offside.

  8. Terrible mistake by AR1 to disallow Spain's goal

    ReplyDelete
  9. Not a good start for Dennis Highler, he missed a clear penalty for Romania, in start of the game.

  10. I'm watching some screeshots it seems a big mistake by AR1.

  11. Only when there is no VAR we get all this mistakes.VAR is quite underrated

    1. It is underrated by many stupid people - often fans of certain teams. They do not even know how VAR works but they keep critising it just because they do not win a game where VAR has intervened. If there is no VAR, they keep doing it. That is really upsetting.

  12. Quite soft penalty awarder to Slovenia by Clancy.

  13. Now a incorrect YC (Alba,Spain) after a phantom foul. The Swedish players only slipped on the pitch.

    1. Was the yellow for the supposed foul or dissent

      Delete
    2. In my opinion for the supposed foul. The dissent was not so big and he shown the YC immediately after foul whistled.

  14. If the call by AR1 was made on the first player (#21 ESP) it is definitely unacceptable at this level... if on the last player, still a clear mistake, but I think he raised the flag for #21.

The level of Scottish assistant referees has been a problem in the years. I was never convinced, also in terms of cooperation with referee. One could say: VAR will solve everything, well, but to officiate at this level the standard must be high, sorry.

    1. Hard to believe that he raised it for 21, that would be unacceptable. If it is for the second situation, that is no a "terrible mistake", it is just a mistake IMO. Anyway, incidents as this show how important VAR is.

    2. Sorry to say but for any phase it was a terrible mistake and I feel it was for the number 21. Both sides it is very poor but the second phase if I were to be the observer is the one I will take very serious because it just needed a straight line

    3. UEFA.com reports #21 ESP. However, they can be wrong.

  15. Weak performance by Collum's team so far. The most crucial decisions, all failed: the wrong offside in the goal situation and the wrong YC for a ghost foul. Also, before the goal, a wrong throw-in for Spain which made Sweden's coach very angry. The reprimand came too late and was not really firm enough.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. YC was given because of dissent. You could see on Collum's body language that he gave the card because Jordi Alba threw the ball aggresively to the ground. Therefore correct YC.

      Delete
  16. Additional times in Spain is a joke (45+2):

Three minutes for an injury (Swedish player),one YC and time game by Swedish goalkeeper Olsen by every goal kick.
