  1. It is the third final for Evarist Menkouande (CMR), after the previous appointments he already got in 2010 and 2012 editions. He is among the most experienced CAF assistant referees ever. I guess that after this tournament very likely he will end his international career... for sure he couldn't ask for more. It was surprising to know that he had to miss WC 2018 because not selected.

  2. Victor Gomes was assigned and now removed by CAF. Why ? May be for injury... beat wishes for Alioum

    1. Can you report please the exact document / link / source in which CAF had reported Gomes as referee for the final? I think this was only a rumor but people trusted it... the same for Tessema (even if in minor tones).

    2. It was never said or stated by Caf that anyone of Gomes or Tessema was for final. So it baffles me how the rumours were do strong

  3. It was reported on african newspapers like that with caf official icon papers... french speaking countries.

  5. I love Alioum Alioum style he doesn't officiate like a typical African referee
He allows the game to flowww

    1. He also allows multiple fouls "punished" only by the FIFA "not any more" gesture...

  6. Two possible VC scenes (19', 35'), play is continued suspiciously quickly. But of course, no one wants RCs for star players in a final...

    1. ...and apparently nobody wants a penalty via VAR either (44’)... the lenient line and sleepiness of VAR so far is not good for the game despite the excessive Cameroonian simulation after every foul

    2. Senegalese ones. Referee is cameroonian ^^.

  7. IMO bad performance so far. Inconsistent foul line, at least to yc missed and bad menagment after half time whistle

  8. A match like this will require Cakir type of refereeing.

    1. Mr. Çakir is the best choice for hot and important games around the globe. His calm game management and his excellent, cooperative communication with the players is unique!

  9. I'd go as far and say: This is what CAF wants to see. A match without many cards or VAR and a referee whose only task seemingly is to just whistle, interfere as little as possible and jsut get it over.

    1. This is what more and more federations want to see. UEFA starts to go this way too. And let me say that UEFA was the last bastion of 'normal' refereeing. The relativisation won with logic unfortunately.

  10. Terrible penalty call now...he's gotta take it back

  11. Terrible card management and presentation by Alioum Alioum.
After the clear foul in 81' he was walking to the scene and after the Algerian dissent he showed correctly the YC.
But IMO this management of showing cards is terrible and should not be the way for a FIFA-Referee! No conviction and no clear body language or gestures.

  12. Weak performance by Alioum Alioum. Card showing is unacceptable at this level, inconsistent foul detection, yc mistaken identity corrected by VAR. Wrong penalty call also corrected. Time wasting not counted correctly. Overall poor performance by Cameroun referee.

  13. The only one to deserve some praise is Monsieur Millot (Fance) who acted as VAR. In the CL, WWC, the Copa America and many league encounters anywhere, VAR overshadowed the game by overstepping the instruction to intervene when the decision by the refereeing team on the pitch was "a clear and obvious error". In Africa they changed course, nor interfering with referees' decisions as long as they were not deemed an obvious error. They also "saved" players' arms from imputation, as Mr. Millot advised both referees in the Senegal-Tunisia encounter and in the Final, to reverse a decision to award a penalty-kick for "handball". By doing so he also helped to rescue the VAR system from its tarnished reputation due to overzealous VAR influencing many controversial decisions in the CL, and especially through the WWC and Copa America.

  14. When I found Dr. Aire I was in desperate need of bringing my ex lover back. He left me for another woman. It happened so fast and I had no say in the situation at all. He just dumped me after 4 years with no explanation. I contact Dr.Aire through his website and He told me me what i need to do before he can help me and i did what he told me to, after i provided what he wanted, he cast a love spell to help us get back together. Shortly after he did his spell, my boyfriend started texting me again and felt horrible for what he just put me through. He said that I was the most important person in his life and he knows that now. We moved in together and he was more open to me than before and then he started spending more time with me than before. Ever since Dr. Aire helped me, my partner is very stable, faithful and closer to me than before. I highly recommends Dr. Aire to anyone in need of help.
