All phantom penaltys by Srdjan Obradovic. Dont know how he is still on the list.
ReplyDeletehttp://fudbal.hotsport.rs/2018/05/14/sta-radi-ovaj-covek-svi-gresi-sudije-srdjana-obradovica-video/
News - Srdjan Obradovic to be removed from list at the end of the season. President of Serbian football federation told to Heads of refereeing that he cant handle anymore things that Srdjan is doing and to be removed from list.
DeleteEverything is phantom with this ref. This match could be decisive match for place in Europa league qualification for both teams. There were high pressure in media from Spartak during whole week, asking for Mazic and only Mazic to whistle this match. Afterwards Radnicki agreed and Mazic was appointed. But, after Mazic was removed due to UEFA's demand, he was replaced by this man who is not in top 30 refs in Serbia! He is not in Elite group!!! So, no.1 was replaced by, I don't know, 30th ref in Serbia in most important match of the season for both clubs and in most important match of the week. I can't believe this is done accidentally, especially if we know (and we do, there are videos of incredible decisions from this ref) who is Srdjan Obradovic.
DeleteHe made at least two unbelievable decisions: first, for dissent he shoved first and immediately second YC for Radnicki's attacker. That almost never happen in Serbia, and it must not happened in this kind of match. Then, he whistled first (suspicious) and second penalty, which is real disgrace. I really can't imagine that those were just mistakes - it simply can not be! Not in this match, not with this referee.
There are lot of questions about him, and about his appointment in this match - how did he occur at the pitch in Subotica... Now, he will probably been banned for refereeing for a lifetime (he was even in police today for questioning), but what about Radnicki? IMO this kind of matches, with big, enormous "mistakes" from the ref, should be nullified and played again - this is only reasonable solution.

ReplyDeleteA match that will most probably decide the championship in Slovenia:
Maribor - Olimpija (May 19th)
SKOMINA
Zunic - Vukan

AAR: Peric, Ponis
Crazy and dramatic finale in Córdoba B-Mérida of Spanish 2ªB (third level), referee is Francisco Javier Fernández Vidal.
ReplyDeleteBoth teams needed to win to avoid relegation, score was 1-1 when this happened.
Córdoba B gets a goal disallowed on 94th minute because of positional offside of a player interfering...only on his teammate, who's onside and scores. AR1 raised the flag and as you'll see, incidents happened.
https://streamable.com/uo0v9
On 100th (!) minute (game restart had to be delayed because of incidents), Córdoba B goalkeeper got his 2nd YC because of this foul outside the area, and Mérida scored on the subsequent free-kick and heroically avoided relegation.
https://streamable.com/mla2t
After that, referee was on the edge of being assaulted by some Córdoba B players. After that, two teams' players were involved in a brawl including some spectators. Terrible!
(PD: Final score was 1-2, not 2-1. And time should have been around the 105th minute, but TV broadcaster's clock gets stuck on 99:00)
https://streamable.com/h014d
So, my questions are:
1. Is Córdoba B goal correctly disallowed, or AR1 raised the flag too early?
2. Goalkeeper got sent off anyway because of that challenge...but it should have been YC for SPA (what referee decided) or straight RC for DOGSO or even SFP?
3. Your thoughts about the incidents?
1) Goal is wrongly disallowed. AR1 missed in "wait & see technique". He raised the flag just because the player in offside was running towards the ball, that's not enough. At the same time, one must say that it is always difficult to think that, after such action, player doesn't play the ball, so a maximum concentration is required.
Delete2) Keeper should have got RC mostly because it was, in my opinion, a SFP. Then, about the question SPA or DOGSO, I think that DOGSO wouldn't have been a wrong choice as well, but I see the SFP as more evident, so in any case straight red card.
3) Incidents look to be quite serious. I hope that the officials left the pitch without any consequence. I strongly condemn what happened.
I think I can translate the match report. In Spain everybody has free access to match reports of 1ª, 2ª and 2ªB matches on Spanish FA website.
DeleteOTHER OBSERVATIONS (OR ADDITIONS TO PREVIOUS ONES)
"In 90th minute, and after disallowing a goal to the local team, players and technical staff of local team ran out to protest the decision to my AR1, after that, players and technical staff of visitor team also approached to the zone where I and my AR1 were, starting a massive brawl between players and technical staff of both teams, having to delay the restart of the game for 5 minutes because of massive protests against me and my AR1 and police intervention"
"Once the game was finished, around 50 people ran out and approached me and my AR2, and I could identify between them some players and technicall staff protesting the decision that sparked the incident mentioned above. Police forces also approached me and my AR2 protecting us with shields in order to retire from the pitch safely. As it is mencioned above, between those 50 people I could identify Nr. 8 and Nr. 10 of home team, coming towards us with aggressive and threatening behaviour, having to be pulled apart by police forces. Once police forces could deal with the situation and reach the tunnel surrounded by about a dozen agents, I received some spits while entering the tunnel. It has to be mentioned that during all these incidents, field officer D. José Carrasco Rivilla collaborated every single time with the referee crew and policemen in order to protect us.

DeleteThat looked quite intentional by that referee. Who then tried to "play it off" as a oops I didn't mean to do that. If I was the Ref Comm in that country, I'd have a good look into that. I'd also have a sit down with the referee and ask for his reasoning in spraying the spray in the direction/face of a player.

Farewell matches for David Fernández and Alfonso Álvarez. Also for Xavier Aguilar (if I'm not wrong), who will be with Sánchez Martínez for one of the most interesting matches, with Barcelona - Real Sociedad. There is nothing to decide, so not really interesting to make comments about that.
DeleteNow the worst part of the season comes: two referees will be demoted if CTA doesn't decide to fill the two spots with the retiring referees (unlikely, at least for Fernández Borbalán). Also, the new FIFA referee replacing Fernández Borbalán will be decided. A name could be Alberola Rojas given he has had a good first season, but given his youth and that pushing him too fast could be a bad move as has happened to other referees, my name would be Munuera Montero, and Alberola next season replacing Undiano Mallenco.
Very interested on which are the referee movements for next season. Specially those concerning promotion to LaLiga, as there would be 4 referees promoted if Fernández Borbalán and Álvarez Izquierdo don't occupy the last 2 places.
DeleteWhen regular season of Liga 123 ends, maybe I would be able to make some predictions, if CTA decides promoting referees not to handle Play-Off games.
I believe Iglesias Villanueva will be to be one of the relegated referees, the other one is still quite difficult to predict. Maybe with a retiring one...

In the first leg matches not covered here, Gavin Ward gave a clear incorrect penalty (http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11768/11370051/watch-is-this-challenge-by-notts-countys-matt-tootle-a-penalty), Jeremy Simpson missed a clear penalty and maybe RC for carting out an elbow, but Tim Robinson, Bobby Madley, Ben Toner all made good performances.
Wow what a end of Netherlands against Ireland. Redan (Ned) miss the crucial penalty but referee Proske give the goalkeeper of Ireland a second yellow for coming to quick from his line. Redan scores his second chance and the Netherlands are in the semi final.
ReplyDeleteNever seen this in my life.
Unbelievable and inhuman call from Vytis Snarskis. You can't signal such a marginal encroachment during the 90 minutes let alone at a decisive penalty...
Deletehttps://streamable.com/ggmtk
It seems there was no encroachment at all...
Deletehttps://image.ibb.co/nhc9ty/NED_IRL.png
More than harsh, but first of all not consistent.
DeleteIf you are so strict with keeper's moves, you have to repeat always all the penalties.
I think this can be assessed as crucial mistake by AR.
Absolutely no need to do that.
Unbelievable decision. I feel very sorry for the Irish goalkeeper.
DeleteNo complain to disciplinary decision, but harsh and avoidable decision made by AR. No encroachment at all.
DeleteI have to say, and you can erase my post if you want - I hope I will never, ever see this referee again in any European competition. This is such a shame. I hope his career ends with this penalty kick.
DeleteOne referee must not do such thing in such crucial moment of the match!
Am I wrong to assume that because it was during the shootout, the referee is the one who made the call? Rules say that AR should focus on the ball and leave the encroachment to the referee.
DeleteExcept that you can see the AR's flag go up immediately after the save...

ReplyDeleteLooks like it's all over for Fahad Al-Mirdasi...
As said above, still nothing has been officially announced. News office Reuters later withdraw the statement this article (and others) is based on.
DeleteArbitro Internacional doesn't share info unless confirmed so I assume it to be true... Plus this article has been updated 3 hours ago it says so it means something??
DeleteIt would be important to know whether the news about his lifetime ban is true or not. One can have still doubts.
DeleteLet's wait for FIFA, for sure somerhing will be published about this issue.
I just hope these news are not true :( Being from the same confederation, I'm just extremely sad, disappointed and shocked at all these developments :(
DeleteHe's not the first nor will he be the last referee from AFC to get busted. AFC and CAF seem like ripe grounds for match fixing among it's referee's. FIFA badge or no, they are all human and everybody has got a price.
DeleteBut Saudi referees get paid VERY well. Also he's set to get 70,000 CHF for attending Russia.
DeleteThere's something fishy going on here. Maybe al-Mirdasi is guilty. But let's not forget Saudi Arabia is a theocratic monarchy where the citizens only have the rights that the King allows. If the royal house had a problem with al-Mirdasi (let's say, for example, some of the princes that own one of the teams do not like his calls), it's very easy to theorize how they would conspire to smear him and make sure he isn't at the World Cup. Things are not always as they seem in Saudi Arabia.
Or, he could be guilty. We don't know. But rushing to judgment given the "evidence" available and the source of that evidence is foolish.
FIFA AR Marcos Quintero from Mexico has been suspended for 5 Liga MX matches for the incident below.
