  2. OT

AFC Cup,Persija Jakarta v Home United (second leg, first aggregate 2-3)

2 early penalties,1 for each(I forget what cause that). 2 red cards for home team before second half. One for second yellow because of denying on goal scoring opportunity, and the next red card for dissent. Game become much heated because home team now lose 1-3. I can't get the video. Turki Al-Khudayr is the referee. Maybe more yellow card in the second half...

  3. Hahahah Mike Dean - the man is incredible! In 88' in Aston Vila-M'boro Vila's gk saved the goal, clear goal by his hands deliberately on 17 meters, and hot only YC! Can someone explaine me how is it possible for one exoerienced referee, who oversees Premiership matches for years, to make such decision??? Incredible!

    2. YC is not totally wrong in my opinion.
RC to be issued only if you are sure that ball is going into the net. Are you? To be considered also that there were two defenders. At least there was room for a small discussion, so not a clear mistake in my opinion.
That's of course the explanation for which Dean didn't issue straight RC.

    3. The ball was going into the net 1000% (and Dean was well positioned to see that) and no way that defender would save the goal! Even if there could be the chance, GK intentionally played the ball with his hands in order to deny goal. So RC is only option for me.

  4. OT:
Does anybody know, where`ll be the referees base camp during FIFA World Cup?

  5. OT

The trio Aguilar, Zumba, Rockwell refereed the Carribbean Club Championship Final in the last days.
Surely that confirms those three as a team at WC 2018.

    1. Very important news, thanks. So, this doesn't play in favor of Marrufo, for sure he will be reserve...

    3. Which is where he deserves to be. That or stuck behind a monitor far far away from the pitch. It's a "gift" that he was chosen at all.

  7. Why did he shown RC to Ireland goalkeeper ? I cannot understand from the video. And why the penalty was repeated ?

    1. A GK who commits an offence during a penalty kick forcing it to be retaken receives a caution.

It was a second caution for the Ireland GK.

The offence (according to the match officials) was that he encroached by leaving his goal line early before the kick. And because the goal was not scored, this meant that a YC had to be shown and the kick retaken.

  8. I can report an 8.4-level performance of Horațiu Mircea Feșnic. No key match incidents, accepted by the players, consistent line, full control.

  9. Mr Þórarinsson was more challenged. Below some clips:

    1. Use of arm: At least the ref caught it and called a foul. A little surprised at the lack of YC here, and not even a talking to.

1st RvSFP: For me, easy RC here. Contact with cleats at decent intensity high on the upper body.

2nd RvSFP: With the prior as a YC, I see why this was also YC. For me, I lean toward RC due to the intensity, height and style of contact. This is a very dangerous challenge in my opinion.

Conflict: I can understand the lack of cards here, both players appropriately rebuked.

Injury: I have no issue with the way this one played out.

Violent conduct: Not for me. Frustration yes, but a light glancing blow in a non-dangerous part of the body. Caution for me.
