You have to guess the exact referee for each game by filling in the form. Just insert your name, or, if you want, a nickname (it must be always the same for all your future predictions) and then for each game just write down the referee and his nationality in brackets. Please write the name of a referee in a clear way, we will try always to support your choice, but don't make it impossible for us.
Example: Felix Brych (GER), Joel Aguilar (SLV), and so on.
Example: Felix Brych (GER), Joel Aguilar (SLV), and so on.
Points will be assigned according to the following pattern (new rules after group stage):
10 points for having guessed the exact referee of a match
5 point if a referee from the same confederation of the one guessed will be in charge of the specific game
2 points if a guessed referee for a game will get a game in the same round (for example, the whole round of 16)
In order to give you more time, given the short period for predictions, as soon as the first appointment for the related games will be released, the form will be annulled and your predictions wont be accepted.
The day of release for the first appointment of this set is 8 July.
A special thank to Soham and Eric.

FRA-BEL Cakir
CRO-ENG Faghani

FRA-BEL Cakir
CRO-ENG Rocchi
Thanks!
I adjusted it
DeleteThank you.
DeleteFrance-Belgium Cakir 100%
ReplyDeleteI think Diedhiou for 3rd place.
France-Belgium: Çakir
ReplyDeleteEngland-Croatia: Rocchi
Final: Ricci
3rd place: have no idea
Agree with you, Ref observer. But Rocchi for France-Belgium and Cakir for England-Croatia is also possible, or Faghani instead of one of them... 3rd place maybe Diedhiou or Ramos. I really wish the final to Ricci.
DeleteFrance-Belgium: Skomina
ReplyDeleteEngland-Croatia: Çakır
Final: Ricci
3rd place: Diedhiou
France-Belgium: Damir Skomina
ReplyDeleteEngland-Croatia: Cüneyt Çakır
France-Belgium: Damir Skomina
ReplyDeleteEngland-Croatia: Cüneyt Cakir
3rd Place: Malang Diedhiou
Final: Sandro Ricci
France vs Belgium - Bjorn Kuipers
ReplyDeleteCroatia vs England - Cuynet Cakir.
Nestor Pitana for final with Milorad Mazic the fourth official.
Kuipers unlikely in the semi-final after a QF...
DeleteKuipers has had a wonderful cup , in 2010 , Ravshan Iramatov did the Germany England quarterfinal and was again selected for semi final for Uruguay vs Netherlands. So , no hard and fast rules , I guess.
DeleteFrance vs Belgium - Bjorn Kuipers
DeleteCroatia vs England - Cuynet Cakir.
Nestor Pitana for final with Milorad Mazic the fourth official.
If I have to make , can make only 1 change in this prediction of mine , it is Damir Skomina for England vs Croatia in place of Cuynet Cakir , with all other predictions , intact. Had forgotten to consider Damur Skimina that time.
So my final prediction is
France vs Belgium - Bjorn Kuipers
Croatia vs England - Damir Skomina.
Nestor Pitana for final with Milorad Mazic the fourth official.

Diedhiou and Faghani.
ReplyDeleteOT: Ricci reportedly commited a technical mistake on the last play when Subasic got injured. Apparently, to restart the play, he conceded a dropped ball inside the goal area. :/
If I remember well, the ball wasn't out of play?
DeleteNo. Subasić caught the ball to avoid the corner and immediatly laid on the field with the ball in his hands. Ricci stopped the game, and restarted dropping the ball like giving it to Subasić, unfortunately, he dropped the ball on the goal area...
DeleteThat's no big mistake, place for dropping ball doesn't need to be 1mm strict
DeleteDifficult. Many possible choices.
ReplyDeleteENG-CRO Cakir
FRA-BEL Rocchi
Fra-bel Cakir
ReplyDeleteEng-cro rocchi
Fra-Bel Çakır
ReplyDeleteHır-Eng Faghani

Final Kuipers or Ricci
Who do you assume as 4th officials in the SFs?
ReplyDeleteI would predict as 4ths:
FRA-BEL: Skomina
ENG-CRO: Pitana
Both had a good tournament, but I don't think, they will get another game.
FRA-BEL Cakir
ReplyDeleteENG-CRO Faghani
3rd place Diedhiou
Final Ricci (if he didn't got injured in last minute)
OT
ReplyDeleteMarwa Range has been banned for life what a way to end his career one very good Assistant referee lost in Africa here
Well, he lost his own way by accepting $600...and getting caught doing it. Space for someone who is hopefully less corrupt.
DeleteStupid. Accepting a $600 bribe when you'll be paid much better on the WC...
DeleteThat's too high time-preference!
Well, look at this.
DeleteThe amount of banned referees by CAF disciplinary board today is huge!

ReplyDeleteFrance-Belgium, Çakir
England-Croatia, Faghani.
This time I agree with Alberto.
DeleteCakir in France - Belgium seems sure.
Then, Faghani, who in my opinion, despite of his good performances, wont handle the final.
I believe the final will not be a European Referee....otherwise it will loook like a Uefa affair
ReplyDeleteFinal..ricci or Zikazwe
Play off skomina
Semisc-Cakir and Feghani
Well, when you have no teams from other continents why would that be an affair ?
DeleteFrance - Belgium: Faghani
ReplyDeleteCroatia - England: Rocchi
Kuipers for final
Mazic may be lucky too....Refereed UCL final and may be world cup final!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSimply impossible.
DeleteWhy impossible? Like Howard Webb got it in 2010.
DeleteThere have been a lot of referees better than him in this World Cup.
DeleteGiving the performances at WC2014, Rizzoli didn't deserve final...

OT: Everybody forgot about Grisha. His tournament was very dissappointed for him and for his ARs. Only 1 Game as ref and no appointment as 4 official.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, it was an expected tournament for Grisha and his team, not a disappointing one: The Egyptian seems to be the clear number 4 out of the four CAF referees and the lowest ranked of each confederation usually gets just one match. The same counts for Abdulla (AFC), Conger (OFC), Karasev (UEFA) and Marrufo (CONCACAF). It was rather a surprise for me that all representants of CONMEBOL got a second game: Applying the performance principle, Roldan should have stayed with just one (but FIFA prefers to consider experience unless a really blatant error occured) whereas Cunha (maybe the prime candidate for just one nomination) did a really good job. (Conger is still in the run for the third-place match.)

Deletesomebody hate mazic somebody hate cakir somebody hate another referee and don't want to see these names on the final (they deserve or don't deserve it's not important for them) some people writing here with Sense of nationalism, now Ricci is the biggest candidate for final according to blog, because we love brasilians and we don't have any problem with brasil,so he is more suitable candidate for lot of people ( kuipers too)mazic and Ricci was great on qf, faghani kuipers pitana was great r16,cakir was great on g.stage,so one of them will be final referee,,and we have to respect this,,all of them deserve.
ReplyDeleteAs VAR we can expect for the final:
ReplyDeleteVAR: Irrai or Makkelie (Kuipers)
AVAR1: Gil or Vigliano (Pitana)
AVAR2: Astroza or Borsch (Kuipers)
AVAR3: Zwayer, Orsato or Valeri
I find Mazic and Kuiper performed excellents, skill, experienced and deserve final - especially with both being 45. But is it realistic to appoint them final/semifinal when they just got quarterfinal game? I think its more realistic that last 4 games will goes to someones who has not has quaterfinal with 13 retained referee, especially with all 4 european teams
ReplyDeleteWhen can we expect the appointments?
ReplyDeleteHi.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think why people easily ignore Faghani for final match. An easy overview shows that the hardest game in this tourney was FRA ARG which he completed perfectly. All other games specially after group phase were easy games.
In my mind Faghani should go for final. Cakir, Ramos semifinals.
RAMOS?!
DeleteMY GOD.
IMO Referee's allready informed. My predictions BEL-FRA Pitana ENG-CRO Faghani 3rd place Cakir Final Kuipers
ReplyDeletePitana again for France after the quarterfinal?
DeleteWhy not?good performance all under control...
Delete
ReplyDeleteRamos? I hope that not.
Please don't write comments reporting appointments without official sources. They will be deleted. Last thing we want is confusion...

Final %100 ÇAKIR, not necessary to search another name. Nigeria - Argentina game shows us this.
ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint you Can Cengiz.
ReplyDeleteVoetbalzone.nl states Cakir is appointed to Croatia - England!!
False news friend, if they plan cakir for sf it would be fra-bel, because this game will be hot clashe, and just cakir was suitable, but after this appointment surely final goes to cakir
ReplyDeleteYou all should understand that everything you read on internet is mostly based on rumours, nothing more. You have always to wait for the official sources. Before that, you can read everything.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is difficult to understand.
You post news from many sites, we could do the same by stating: "Referee XXX will handle the final", and then all people will believe that.
Isn't that very trivial? Please open your mind. Thanks.
Semi-final huh....let's roll the ball baby.
ReplyDeleteGeiger (USA) for both semis and the final. No ARs and no VARs.
