  2. I don't want to throw shade on Conger, but I remember back in 2014 when O'Leary had a very disputable performance in Nigeria - Bosnia. This game is just as crucial for both teams. Let's hope he's up to the challenge - I certainly did not expect him to be named.

    1. If I remember correctly, O'Leary's on field performance wasn't actually all that bad. His controversial moment came after the final whistle when he was accused of being overly friendly and "buddy buddy" with the Nigerian players. That's what I remember.

    2. There were huge discussion about the 1-0 for Nigeria although I can't say that call was 100% wrong.

      Delete
    3. I remember AR2 with a very bad mistake (for this level) to cancel a goal for Bosnia, but I agree, O'Leary was not so bad.

  3. Mazic for Germany-Sweden almost certainly

    1. Germany, Sweden, Mexico group will cross with group where Serbia is. That is the only reason why maybe Mazic will not be in this game.

    2. Same case with Brych and have been appointed to SER-SUI

  4. Some curiosity, Serbia and Switzerland have exactly the same record under Brych:
    1 draw in a WC play-off and a 1:2 loss in a friendly.

    1. Ummm... WC play-off for Serbia? :)
I remember Brych in Serbia-Croatia, WC qualifiers

    2. Yes, my mistake...
Then "1 draw in WC qualification" :)

  5. Ricardo Montero (CRC) joins the group of referees with a second 4th official appointment. Will Grisha (EGY) and Marrufo (USA) be appointed for on-field duty?

    1. I had forgotten Grisha... in my opinion not a reserve but a main referee. He has his assistant referees...

    2. Grisha could get KOR-MEX. Might be challenging, but that counts for most of the games...
Otherwise ENG-PAN also possible for Grisha, then Karasev might be considered for KOR-MEX.
I still would like Bascunan in BEL-TUN, and then very likely Mazic for GER-SWE.
Sato and Charef will probably miss out, although both also could get ENG-PAN.

  6. Good appointment for Conger, at least an important game, and I like this choice by FIFA.
It would have been sad to see him in a meaningless game. Interesting that the OFC crew will handle again Nigeria (against a UEFA team), as it happened with O'Leary in 2014.
Kuipers for Brazil: we can't know how the performance of Ramos was assessed, but for sure with this choice, committee doesn't want to take any risk. Despite of the fact that the game looks "easy" on paper (CRC lose the first game against SRB), we will have Kuipers there. For the Dutch, this could be another easy task, but of course everything can still happen.
Brych with a very deciding game in the same group.
Mazic very likely the last main referee still to be appointed...

  7. Great choices from Busacca/Collina. Sure enough, a big name for Brazil-Costa Rica following the controversial BRA-SWI. Nigeria-Iceland will put Conger through his paces...looking forward to watching him perform. Serbia-Switzerland will be challenging as well, so Brych should be on alert.

  8. I would only switch Brych and Kuipers, because I would prefer to see Dutch in game inolving Serbia more than Brych. In big derby and match with enormous tension in Belgrade Serbia-Croatia, he wasn't at his best, missing some cards and penalty at the beginning of the match. I was at the stadium then. Now we will have another match with unfortunately political background (the match outside the pitch already started few days ago). Brych is ok solution, but I would like Kuipers or Cakir more.

    1. Brazil v Costa Rica might be a tricky game and also with all the ruckus and fuss created around Brazil, a big name was always going to come... Plus South America v North America team so can get heated and challenging so I think Kuipers is a sensible choice... After a its the last chance for Costa Rica!

    2. @Teo Can you share more about the match outside the pitch that has already started?? I want to know about it :)

    3. A lot of Albanians from Kosovo play for Switzerland so there is a lot of tension because of that

I already stated that it is difficult to give marks for performances, so I wont do that.
I will propose, after every stage, a short analysis about the refeereing at WC.

  18. HELLO VIEWERS

GET OUT OF FINANCIAL MESS WITH THE HELP OF drbenjaminfinance@gmail.com

I have been in financial mess for the past months, I’m a single mum with kids to look after. My name is REBECCA MICHAELSON, and am from Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. A couple of weeks ago My friend visited me and along our discussion she told me about DR BENJAMIN OWEN FINANCE of drbenjaminfinance@gmail.com that he can help me out of my financial situation, I never believed cause I have spend so much money on different loan lenders who did nothing other than running away with my money. She advised, I gave it a try because she and some of her colleagues were rescued too by this Godsent lender with loans to revive their dying businesses and paying off bills. so I mailed him and explain all about my financial situation and therefore took me through the loan process which was very brief and easy. After that my loan application worth $278,000.00USD was granted, all i did was to follow the processing and be cooperative and today I am a proud business owner sharing the testimony of God-sent Lender. You can as well reach him through the Company Email drbenjaminfinance@gmail.com

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH
