  1. What do you think about the fact that the group B had only Uefa's top guns: Taylor, Lahoz, Makkelie, Kuipers, Turpin and Brych. Belgium, Denmark, Finland and Russia: this is really not the most challenging group.

Ps: I know this shouldn't be in this post but I noticed what I wrote above only recently and I would like to see more opinions.

  3. A very unpleasant scene around the middle of the half when a Swedish player recklessly kicked a player in the head. Oliver immediateatelly started a procedure of showing a card and then suddenly stopped. And this action repeated 3 times in the space of 10 seconds. It just came to show how absurd are the instructions of the referees committee. The referees have to fight against their instincts and to restrict from showing cards at any cost. I don't know why they have received such instructions but all the reasons that have come to my mind are not very pleasant...

  4. Important offside call by AR1 in 65', disallowed a goal scored by Poland. Very good decision, extremely tight offside.

    1. Yes, good call. VAR checked it and validated the offside position.

    1. 83' Correct YC to POL15, followed by a YC for dissent to Poland's coach.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first disciplinary sanction against someone on the bench in this tournament .
Very good signal, often referees are too permissive towards coaches reaction (i.e Russian coach a few days ago)
