Why does Vincic point so strangely for corners?
ReplyDeleteHis fitness is up there with the best :)
Hi everyone! Slavko Vinčić is moving too much. He always run, walk or trying to stop. What is your opinions? It effects getting position and blocking players.
ReplyDelete12th min. Foodstamp by Swedish defender. Clear verbal warning but no YC. For me YC would have been a better decision
ReplyDeleteMin. 12', Vinčić with a warning in a situation of a quite clear YC. Let's see next time, he will have surely to book.
ReplyDeleteI think, there was no real foot contact (second replay), therefore no YC seems the better decision to me.
DeleteI agree with Philipp here, second replay showed there was no real foot contact, so for me no YC was ok for me.
DeleteThis was just the perfect Situation for a verbal warning. Not stamping, no reckless contact. YC would have have been much to hard and would have set the bar for YC quite to low.
DeleteRemarkable that some people deem both Krychowiak YC’s ‘soft’ or ‘not mandatory’, while they do want to see a YC in 12’ in this game… As Philipp says, no full contact, no stamp, hence a perfect occasion to open with a strong verbal warning IMO.
ReplyDeleteGreat 1h for Vincic. Great fitness, correct no penalty decision, very correct approach to game. If he continues like this, I strongly belive that he can accomplish something big at Euro.
ReplyDeletetotally agree with you.
DeleteVincic excellent
ReplyDeleteGood YC to SWE2 for time wasting, I don't remember Vincic warn someone verbally to prevent it before, but it was a blatant one, so good decision IMO.
ReplyDeleteAlso a good way to show that he won't tolerate more attempts to gain time.
Vincic was seen warning the Swedish captain verbally only a minute beforehand. Excellent prevention by the Slovenian!
DeleteHe had a discussion with captain Larsson. The Swedes knew that ref was not happy with their time-waiting. Good decision to book Lustig.
DeleteThere must be at least six minutes additional time, a lot of breaks.
ReplyDeleteGood prediction. 10 points for you
Delete6 indeed
DeleteSix it is. Absolutely justified. Unfortunately, wrong offside flag by AR2 in 89' disallowing a corner for Spain.
DeleteHaha, @Timo, I would not say no if ten points were added to my result... ;)
DeleteWrong offside call AR2 minute 89 prior a corner of Spain.
ReplyDeleteExcellent Vincic. Excellent performance.
ReplyDeleteVery good performance by Vincic. Again a strong day for refereeing with three pleasant performances. Once again, we have to underline that we have not seen a single OFR so far, almost a whole MD. Excellent start for UEFA. I hope Çakir and del Cerro Grande do well tomorrow. Especially in FRA-GER, there could be a dark shadow over those excellent performances if there is an important mistake in the biggest match.
ReplyDeleteThose two are known for OFRs, so they might change the trend. However, it depends on the game also.
DeleteI hope we have already faced the worst game of this tournament. Please!
ReplyDelete100% Agree. A good match visibly but in the end so disappointing
DeleteWow, very good performance of Vincic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a boring match ! Very disappointed
ReplyDeleteAbout Vincic : Not a difficult game, well leaded, 1 YC (good decision). Not some problems. Good start for Vincic. Maybe an other game for Day 3 I think ? (And Round of 16 for sure)
Very good Vincic, well done!
ReplyDeleteWow Vincic...wow !!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing to report is the wrong offside call by AR2.
ReplyDeleteExpected level performance by Vincic, let's hope for a more challenging test in his second game.
Not the most difficult match but Vincic was very good. His physical condition is superb but positioning needs imrpovement at times.
ReplyDeleteVery good start to this Euro in terms of refereeing.
Very good performance of Vincic! Together with Brych and Makkelie the three most best performances so far. But, Cakir is still coming :D my top favorite.
DeleteI would add Taylor to this list.
DeleteGreat performance by Vincic! Definitely proved that he belongs on the big stage!
ReplyDeleteAny info about Copa America? First 3 games finished, with experienced top level refs - Roldan, Pitana and Ostojich.
ReplyDeleteI watched some of the second half of Argentina v Chile with Roldan as the referee. Game reminded me why I don't like South American football. Players surrounding referees!!!
DeleteFully agreed. South American football is not football anymore. Most first division matches end with 30-40 fouls
DeleteOne interesting point about players' behaviour in Copa America: their fair play is just fine in CL/EL and European leagues, but then it seems that in Copa America, Copa Libertadores they feel entitled to protest and surround and harrass and cheat all the time. Really embarassing
Btw, Ostojich has been very solid in South America. Patricio Loustau too. Raphael Claus comes a distant third.
DeleteWouldn't it be a good idea to have a central discussion page for all things Copa América related? ;)

(btw you can easily access that page from the web version of the blog :))
Tks!
