  1. 20' reaction of a player from Hungary against an assistant referee should have been punished

    1. Verbal warning or YC?

    2. Maybe not enough for YC, but surely verbal warning.
      Can't go unpunished.

    3. YC to German. Was there enough holding for a foul and YC?

  2. Nothing to report. Good first half by Karasev, maybe he could have done more against #HUN-5.

  3. For me HUN 5 must be booked for several fouls. He doesn't stop...

  4. Karasev's fingerpointing on players looks awful

  5. Hungary players try to fool the referee, they poor men.

  6. Very good Karasev until now, 75'

  7. I saw a superb Karasev. He was right in every choice. There is the doubt of possible yc in 20' but we already spoke about it.

  8. Good job by Karasev, should have given a YC for HUN-5 earlier. Apart from that, no controversies and good foul detection. Well done.

  9. I'm not a fan of Karasev at all, but I got to say that he did a good job this game.

    1. Agree with both. Especially his foul detection tonight was extraordinary good

    2. He had a good tournament so far and should continue his journey.

  10. Karasev managed to to have a quite invisible (good) performance in game, that was not that challenging but very close and had the potential to be a extremely difficult game, just because of what was at stake for both teams

  11. Wow! Almost flawless Karasev today! Really impressed by the Russian. Just remember how his presence here was questioned. Some even argued "his body language" shouldn't let him be in the final list. Surely Karasev is one of the best at the tournament up until now.

  12. I think he is the biggest surprise of the tournament. Well done Karasev team!

    1. Karasev and Siebert are the positive surprises. Karasev has done very well in a decisive match.

  13. I share the very positive evaluations above:
Most importantly no major mistakes in a match, where every goal provided a different group result.
Then a very sensible card selection. Some people complained about some kind of "team PI" by Hungary in the first half, but I think, Karasev didn't do anything wrong in that aspect.
He consistently used a quite lenient foul selection, allowing the match to flow (as much as the player wanted to...). This lead to some missed fouls, but still a good foul detection, I think.
Although his natural authority is not the biggest, his control of the match was never in danger, I think.
Overall one of the best performances in the tournament and IMO Karasev now even deserves more than a "weak" R16 match.
